I love the Happy Gnome. This is the single best gastropub I have ever been to. I came here over Christmas break three years ago from Houston, and I simply cannot find another place like it. The selection, atmosphere, service are all things that I want to find in Houston, yet always wind up falling short. I haven’t tried the food, but when I go back, I will make sure I do.

Stopped by for dinner and a drink on a weeknight. The Happy Gnome is a comfortable little pub that focuses on craft beer. They had a great tap selection when I was there with a good selection of American and foreign imports(woohoo, sours on tap). The food was better than most craft beer places I’ve been to in the Twin Cities. The dishes were quite unique and well done. I would say both the drinks and food were a bit pricier, but you can expect to get what you pay for.

The Happy Gnome is the perfect pub style, beer centric place! Plus they have great food and Firken Fest! This is the place beer drinkers go to drink unique brew and have great food and times with friends.

The first "splurge" I made after coming here was to take a trip here. Their beer and whiskey list is (for a restaurant) pretty outstanding. The food is QUITE delish, and it has a great patio area. I have had nothing but nice, earnest servers, and on the one occasion that I had the chance to visit the upstairs area I was pretty impressed by the swankiness. This place has got swag, Sir.

I love this place. They have a large selection of beers and even keep a seasonal keg in the basement to serve off season. The food is excellent but it can get to be an expensive night pretty quickly.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Good selection, great food, decent service, but prices are very, very high. As stated, selection is good, but lacked any real hard to find gems. Good feel to the place, but if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, expect the place to be packed, and parking to be a nightmare (particularly in the winter). Overall, I’m a little split on the place. Maybe my sights were set too high, but selection didn’t amaze, particularly when prices are factored in. The food was really good though, and if you go at an off time, the ambiance is very nice. Regardless, worth a stop.

Great selection, got the pizza which was good but not great, knowledgeable staff. Only complaint is that is is rather small.

Very good beer selection with a friendly knowledgeable staff. Food is fantastic as well and has a great patio.

Went in to try some of the new Stone beers but they were out of the Smoked Porter with Vanilla Beans. I ended up reading the beer menu from almost the time I sat down until I left. They have an enormous amount of beers to chose from. I also got the angus hamburger with short ribs on it. The hamburger had to be about one of the best things I have ate in a long time.
