Scotthops (3), Minnesota does not count - explanation | | August 18, 2009 [ Updated August 28, 2009 ] My favorite place to get a beer in the cities! Excellent and varied taps - over 30. Great feel to it - slightly older crowd- probably due to their pricier dinner menu- but food is very good for a bar. Great patio in the summer, but service is slower out there. | NickMN (1), , does not count - explanation | | June 30, 2009 What a great flipping meal. I was being a jerk and asked the server what beer would they pair with my meal. They paired my appetizer and entree. Shut my big fat mouth and dip into the wallet. | | GeneralGao (220), Iowa City, Iowa | | June 19, 2009 Taken to this place by friends in Minneapolis during a 5 hour layover at the airport. Thanks guys! Lots of great beers on tap. I had Tyranena Pumpkin Spice and Summit Oatmeal Stout from the cask becasue I hadn’t had them before.. We had dinner and the food was very good. Very cool restaurant/pub. | | Syd (26), Waconia, Minnesota | | April 4, 2009 I made my first appearance this afternoon, a Saturday at 3:00 PM. The place was quite busy for the rather off hour. I was able to find a string of 3 empty bar stools so that I could sit without having to establish territory. The bar tender was really harried with the situation, since she was getting hit with lots of orders. She was nice enough about it. I ordered a Surly 16 Grit and one of the small plates, a rather outstanding Braised Elk Tartlet. I then followed up with a Surly Furious. The service got better as the rush died down. The atmosphere is great, pub like, and the food I tried was awesome. I will return. | TaydaTot (3), Minnesota does not count - explanation | | March 30, 2009 I’ve only been here twice so far but I have to say both experiences have been great. The selection they have on tap is wonderful. They even had Surly Darkness in March. I hear sometimes they have problems with the taps and I’m can’t say whether that is true or not but I did have a Surly Mild it it tasted gross, hopefully not how it was supposed too. It is more expensive but the fact that they have an amazing tap selection and an even more incredibly extensive bottle selection makes it worth it. I like the food too. There’s lots of butter in everything but it goes well with beer. | akysylyczyn (8), , Minnesota does not count - explanation | | March 26, 2009 I love all the beer on tap but sometimes they don’t update the list so I don’t always get what I want. The food is very good but pricey and so is the beer. Overall I good place to go and hang out and have a few beers. | | WisconsinBeer (10), St Paul, Minnesota | | February 8, 2009 Nice comfortable cozy place to enjoy a beer. Food menu is solid, but it’s more upscale so it can be pricey at times. Service is attentive and friendly. Amazing selection of craft beers but......
I’ve been here a number of times and had problems with the beers. Beers will be flat, skunked, and off in general. If they could resolve the tap issues it would be great, until then I’ll go down the street to Muddy Pig where I’ve NEVER had a problem with any of the tap beers. | | BVery (25), Burnsville, Minnesota | | January 12, 2009 My favorite place to go for beers. Terrific selection of great beers, very knowledgable and helpful staff, great patio in the summer. A little pricey, but worth it. | tdaglow (6), Minnesota does not count - explanation | | October 23, 2008 Amazing food, good service(sometimes), and a beer list that makes me cry. Plus a fire pit in the back. Go, eat, drink, and don’t worry about the bill. Don’t be put off if the service isn’t great and try at least one cheese plate. | | mnoutdoors (10), Allover, Wisconsin | | October 8, 2008 Very nice looking palce...awesome selection of good beer..Southern tier pumking was outstanding.food is a little pricey but worth it. Will definitely be back. |
