Nestled right in downtown St-Pete. More like a neighborhood bottleshop but in line with the Total Wine, Luekens type of liquor places. Beer selection is big enough, though the most part is dedicated to wine and liquor. Nothing too out of the ordinary, and I got the feeling that the staff was not really seeking out to stock up on rare beers. Just keep the flow in and out of the shelves with the focus being more on wine/liquor sales.

Convenient location for the traveler who may be staying downtown. They have a pretty small selection with a few racks of singles at room temperature, and about 3-4 doors with assorted micros. Some interesting things here (for a west coaster) - Bells, Hoppin Frog, CCB, and Sculpin. The problem with this place is that their turnover is slow. Found a 2.5 year old bottle of Expedition there (score!), but also a 3 year old bottle of Jose Marti (not score). One of the guys there wanted to give me a cold bottle of a CCB IPA that had an "older label" than the room temp one I had at checkout. My advice - buy beers there that you would expect to be tasty with age on it, and be very wary of hoppy beers.

Not a bad little place but the selection is small. They have some decent imports and some micro brews but nothing that you could not find at Total or Sheps.

Good, not great selection. A couple of cooler doors of American craft and some Belgians. They seem to focus well on a couple brewers, Oskar Blues, Rogue, and Dogfish Head in particular. Some more diversity might be nice. Contrary to what others have written, the prices don’t seem too great to me, but I might just be still getting used to the price increases craft beer has experienced across the board lately.

Decent selection. Notable for being reasonably priced in area that is doing it’s best Manhattan pricing impression. Better than average selection (average=ABC Liquors in FLorida). It’s not a destination, but it is a nice alternative near downtown St. Pete.

If you are wandering around down town St. Pete, walk your thirsty-beer-geek-ass over to American Spirits. They have some nice American micro 6packs and 4packs. Their prices are very good, especially considering the affluent area of town. The owners are good people and show care and consideration for stocking the hottest beers on the market…. It is a relatively small selection though.
