| jredmond (111), Manhattan, New York | | May 17, 2012 Stopped in here briefly after visiting Peg’s. Nice beer bar with solid tap selection. Lots of American craft to choose from. Def a strong recommend. | IPAsavedMYlife (9), St. Petersburg, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 22, 2012 Interesting, the highest rating about this place was the ambiance. Umm, what? There is no ambiance, it’s a stripped down beer bar. It’s specialty is beer. They rotate often. They have rare releases. They don’t need no stinking bottles. Some of these rates are just unfair. By far the best craft beer bar in St. Petersburg, and we have quite a few now. | downtownpete (1), st petersburg , does not count - explanation | | November 27, 2011 great little place tucked away from the hustle, but still busy. Outstanding selection and great entertainment. | | jedinord (24), St. Petersburg, Florida | | May 10, 2011 Definitely what Downtown St. Pete has needed for a long time. 32 taps, great staff, great atmosphere, and a very good variety. They know their beers, they rotate them frequently, and they genuinely love what they are doing. The live music is always fun, and never obnoxious or overwhelming. The cheese dips and fish spreads are excellent accompaniment to the beers. If you are in St. Pete and love craft beer, this is a must. | | DYCSoccer17 (244), Woodland, California | | April 16, 2011 This was easily my favorite beer place in St. Pete. It’s in a bit of a tricky location in an alcove within a business plaza. The bar area is fairly small (it used to be a French crepe place), with about 12 stools or so. There are couches and other seating options available as well as tables and chairs outside. The bartenders and owners were all fantastic, especially Nichole (she may have been the rockabilly chick that the previous commenter was referring to). They have 32 taps, with 30 devoted to beer and 2 to cider. As for the previous poster, the reason why they have cider taps is because cider sells really well. The taps are all American micros. They have some pretty common beers here, but they also have a few odd-balls (they had SIerra Nevada Ovila when I was there). The inventory moves pretty quickly with 1-2 new beers each day. They have 1 TV, but it is not entirely loud. The music is tasteful during the day, and they have live music outside many nights. This place sells snacks and cheese and fish dips, which looked awesome. I only have a couple of complaints about this place #1 - there is only 1 restroom located in the bar (granted there are more outside in the plaza area) and #2 - I think I saw 6 wheat beers on tap at the same time. | | fluffy (25), St Petersburg, Florida | | March 13, 2011 the place looks like it used to be an art space or coffee house, maybe a small deli/lunch place. nice outside seating though on the enclosed plaza. service could be better. the little rockabilly girl spent a good 2 or 3 minutes flirting with some ponytail guy at the bar, while i and about 3 other people waited for her to take our order. not a good start. beer selection is pretty good but odd. i mean, with limited taps, why have 2 ciders? beers poured properly at decent prices. only other bad thing was the acoustic cover band was WAY too loud. but otherwise, probably best place to get tap-only micros in downtown st pete. | vegan (1), Florida does not count - explanation | | January 30, 2011 Great place in the heart of downtown St Petersburg, featuring 32 craft beers on tap. Prices are good too. |
