I have embarked on a challenge of consuming a different beer each day for one year, that works out at 366 beers thanks to a leap year. Without Beer Cartel ’Yeer in Beer’ would be an absolute disaster. If your in Sydney you must visit the guys and grab a couple of beers you wouldn’t normally find anywhere else.

The only reason any self respecting sydneysider should not know about this place is because of its location. While not particularly top, these guys make up for it time and time over. That being said as well, it is just hard to find, but actually a convenient location in Artarmon and is a quick in and out with parking right outside... More than can be said for many bottle shops. The beer is always great and always growing in selection. I haven’t taken advantage of the growler service but that is most definitely next. Couldnt reccomended it more!

Beer Cartel is a quality craft beer outlet. The staff know their beer knowledge and have always been helpful. Granted that there aren’t a lot of shops in Sydney to compare to but the other few that do have good selections aren’t nearly as quick to make new, quality releases available, nor do they pour growlers. As far as I’m aware the only other bottle store to pour growlers in NSW is more than 2 hrs drive. This makes Beer Cartel by far and away the best choice for the purchasing of craft beer in Sydney.

This is by far the best bottle shop in sydney. The range is excellent and always being updated. Draft beer growlers is a big bonus. I have even ordered online and received my order very promptly. But what really makes this place is the quality of staff. Everytime I have been to the beer cartel the staff have been excellent. They are clearly devoted beer lovers and love having a chat about all things in the craft beer world! I couldnt recommend this place more highly. (no affiliation)

Overall, a good experience. Stock is increasing all the time so that is good to see. A tad pricey but I guess that is to be expected for quality product. Very helpful staff.

was very impressed when I first walked into this place. Allow quite some time for your visit as there are soooooooooo many beers to choose from. Place can be a bit difficult to find, and I would love better opening hours, but very understandable considering the location.

Sydney has needed a bottle shop like this for so long. An exceptional range of Australian and New Zealand beers; a good selection of beers from some prolific countries like the USA, UK,; a good selection from Scandinavia; and with decent showings from other important beer countries such as Belgium and Germany. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and helpful and obviously care about beer. The place itself is rather challenging to find (I drove round the block three times on my first visit) - but well worth the persistence. It is on the first floor of an industrial estate, tucked away in a corner. It is a small shop packed wall to wall, and floor to ceiling with bottles - which gives it a great ambiance assuming you like being surrounded by lots of great beer!

Geoff, Rich & Will should be congratulated for their efforts in not only introducing so many great craft beers to the Sydney market, but also growlers, when they were foreign to this city. These guys are always so friendly, knowledgeable and full of information and advice, this bottle shop is always my first stop when i need to re-stock my friidge.

Beer Cartel is almost definitely the best bottleshop in Sydney. They have a fantastic selection of beers from Australia and around the world, and the service is great. Geoff and his team really know their stuff, and are more than happy to help out. Their tasting room upstairs is a really nice space, and while I’ve only been to one event their, it was really well done and very enjoyable. Keep up the good work guys!
