Mona Vale store. A large, sweeping store with a focus on wine but with a sizable selection of beer towards the back available as singles or in four and six packs. Prices seem reasonable at an average of $3.50-$5 for Australian craft with a modest range of English, German and American imports priced accordingly. 10% off 10 bottle purchases in-store too at time of writing.

Big and impersonal, but a decent selection of Australian, German and Belgian beers. Prices are reasonable by local standards.

Hurstville Dan Murphy’s Store - range of Australian and overseas beers available at cheap prices compared to other local bottle shops. Good value for picking out afew different Australian craft brews.

Dan Murphy’s is a chain of bottle shops through out Australia. They are of varying sizes but they’re all pretty much the same. I have one near me which is quite big and always has a great selection. A great combination of international imports, local craft and local crap (if you really want) They usually have different staff who specialise in different areas, like beer, wine, spirits etc.. The beer guy knows his stuff. The good thing about this place though is the price. Most bottles, import or local craft are around $3.50 - $4 which is pretty good. I highly recommend it for an international traveller who wants to catch up on some Aussie craft stuff. Of course locals will more likely go to speciallty stores.
