Mattburns (3), does not count - explanation | | July 5, 2010 [ Updated August 20, 2010 ] The range is good, and you can’t argue for value. If you want to drink these beers then you need to pay for it ... simple as that. The prices are fair and they do offer discounts for larger orders.
Some nice Rogue glassware available as well as some unbranded assortments.
Stores like this are extremely rare in poor ol Sydney. If there was an online store, it would do wonders. | | highlandlad (40), Blue Mountains, Australia | | August 9, 2009 [ Updated December 17, 2009 ] This place has the best selection of imports I’ve come across in Sydney. Someone here really knows their stuff because it’s not just the variety, it’s the quality that stands out. Cantillon, Mikkeller, Nogne O, BrewDog, Traquair, Rogue, Flying Dog... Most of those I have yet to find anywhere else in town. And not just the better-known beers from those labels - there are some of the more obscure one-offs here, as well. The prices reflect the cost of bringing those labels down under. They’re expensive, sure, but at least we finally have the opportunity to try them. My only caveat is that the two staff I dealt with on different visits didn’t seem remotely interested in the product or their customers. Pity because this place is a great and much needed addition to the local scene. Let’s hope they prosper. (BTW, it’s not too obvious from the outside that this place is called Platinum Liquor - it’s tucked among the shops at the top of Bellevue Road.) | Kabooby (1), Harrington Park, Australia does not count - explanation | | January 14, 2009 Plenty of great beers if you are after some of the rarer imported beers. I was able to spot a lot of Belgium and English beers that I have not seen elsewhere. The also have Rogue Ales which are only new to Aus. The best selection of Belgian sours that I have seen in Sydney | dino13 (2), , Australia does not count - explanation | | August 26, 2008 Adam is the real deal, he knows styles and how to explain what your after and knows plenty from abroad especially the US,he carries thingsthat ive never seen in NSW. his brother Toni also knows how most of the beers taste and can help you out just as good. But Adam is the hardcore beer geek your after. Make sure you catch either of them so call before you trek over. | chad1986 (2), , Australia does not count - explanation | | July 6, 2008 Make sure you pop in when the young lad named Adam is working as he really knows his stuff. He can even order in specail products for me. He just ordered me 1 carton of St Peter’s Honey Porter from Suffolk. Not the biggest selection but concise and alot of thought put into the selection. PS. Only place i have seen 3 Ravens in NSW
