March 5, 2008 Place is decent but no cheaper, nor has any larger selection than the better Long Island beer stores that are all within 20 minutes of driving on or near Jericho Tpke. Prices are higher than they should be. Sure the owner is nice but that does not help at all. |
January 26, 2008 [ Updated March 16, 2008 ] Nice beer store located in Syosset on Jericho Turnpike about 500 feet west of Route 135(Seaford Oyster Bay Expwy). In the last few years, this place has vastly improved their quality and quantity of beers. Here is a list of some of the beers that they have in stock: Southern Tier(entire line), Southampton(12oz, 22oz and 750ml), Great Divide(Hercules & Yeti), Blue Point(Bottles and Filled Growlers), Stone(Entire Line), Rogue, Smuttynose, Dogfish Head, Goose Island(Bourbon County Stout), Lagunitas, Ommegang and Unibroue. They also have a pretty decent selection of Belgian and English Beers. Fantastic service. The owner is always willing to help and if you ask, she will try to get any beer you ask for as long as it is distributed to Long Island. She says that she has the same distributor as the well known place on Route 110 in Huntington and can get the same beers that he has. Right next door to them(not sure if same owners)is a cigar place that seems to be quite popular. Also, if you go on their website, there are printable coupons for $5 off for $25 spent there. Prices for their beers are comparable to Superstar and Big Z. Overall, if you are anywhere near the Syosset area, this is definitely a nice place to visit for quality beers. |
