| cfrancis (58), Ottawa, Ontario | | January 16, 2011 This place is in the middle of suburbia. Never would have found it without my GPS. Tiny little place that was busy and was constantly rubbing shoulders with people. Fair selection and was able to fill a box. Then on the way out I noticed the growlers to go that are behind the counter. The guy working the counter noticed my eyes go large and commented that yes they do have growlers to go. Three taps on a kegerator. Will probably go back with Galeville closed now. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | February 14, 2010 Visited on Feb 6 2010. An unassuming little convenience with a decent selection, not the greatest, but good. The also have 3 taps for growlers. Prices are very good (cheaper than Party Source). Friendly and enthusiastic service. | | williamherbert (50), Syracuse, New York | | July 27, 2009 [ Updated January 19, 2012 ] Considering how small this place is, a large percentage of its shelf space is dedicated to craft brews. I usually see Heavy Seas, Paper City, Southern Tier, as well as Chimay, La Chouffe and Delirium. It also has a lot of macro-crap taking up space, but I’m willing to forgive that when I see some nice Sierra Nevada Christmas Ale or Arcadia IPA. Solid considering its humble facade. The folks who run the place are friendly and always offering info on the new beers they have coming in. A small oasis when in the Eastwood/Northside area. (2012 Update: The place has only gotten better and better, and the guys here are really taking beer seriously. Upgrade.) |
