This was a big place right on the water and it was pretty nice. The beer was good for a chain brewer and they had a good selection of about 8 of their styles.

I know it’s a chain but it’s a really good place for great beer and food.

Easy to bag on this place as being a chain beer place or a bit steril, but they were putting out beer in Pierce county since you could only find Rainier and Oly! Just kidding, but they have been there forever and whereas there staple beers are a bit boring, they have turned out some interesting seasonals in the past couple of years so (not life changing, but interesting), with any hope they’ll keep goin in that direction... foods o.k. and beers o.k. at least you’ll know what to expect... o.k.

nice "woody" decor with a lot of athletic gear on the walls and a lot of big screen tvs as expected from a chain brewery, OUR service was TERRIBLE, our waitress was rude and didn’t have the time of day for us during our visit (hopefully this unusual for the place), big menu with bar grub, my grilled chicken wasn’t bad, all burgers and sandwiches are about $2 more then the competitors and their pint of Hefe was $5. Not terrible, but better places in surrounding area.

This was a great place to find. It was a tad off the freeway and a little bit of looking at the GPS to find it but once there I was happy I stopped. This looked like one of the older versions of the Ram franchise. The bar top was worn so that told me it has had a few beers spilled on it. That’s Ok the beer was tasty and the service pretty good and once they saw I was rating some of the beers they perked up and talked about the beer. Very nice view of the Puget Sound as you have a pub style lunch. Glad I stopped sort of off the path but worth the drive if ever in the area. They had 3 different seasonal styles they brewed themselves and they where very tasty.

It has a lot going for it: it’s right on a dock, and many tables have glorious unobstructed water views in at least two directions. They emphasize local colleges and even high schools in their decor, which is cool. The barback is actually up a ladder from the main barall the storage is on the second story, and bartenders schlep up and down the ladder while they work. That’s pretty cool. But it’s a chain, neon-heavy, and not a place that focuses on brewing or the beer drinker. Still, if you’re walking or blading on the waterfront, there are worse places to grab a pint. Or a pint and a half. They really emphasize variety in glass size here for some reason.
