| PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | April 24, 2009 Quaint little bar tucked into what should be an apartment in a new condominium building in the "artsy" area of Tallahassee. Visited here early on a Friday evening and the place was packed - hard to find a stool at the bar but I managed. Had seven rotating beers on-tap - a bit above par for the area, but not breathtaking (Lagunitas, Lost Coast, Erdinger, Rogue etc.). Beer list showed about 40 to 50 different beers from a wide spectrum of styles and countries with a nice description of each - suitable for the masses - but not quite suited to the beer geek. Only macro to be found was Miller Lite and the description was appropriate - "it’s Miller Lite". The beer taps were kept out of sight - which was unusual - but probably a necessity due to the cramped quarters. Wished they had a few more taps - but still a great addition to the slowly burgeoning Tallahassee beer scene. Maybe someday we will actually get a brewpub. | mrselfdestruct (2), , Tuvalu does not count - explanation | | April 24, 2009 Really cool little place tucked into the artsy district of Tallahassee. Fairly decent selection when I was there; had a big grin on my face when I saw they had the Weihenstephaner Hefe on the menu and ordered immediately. Have that they they have had Bell’s Hopslam in the past. | IPAsavedMYlife (3), Tallahassee, Florida does not count - explanation | | January 1, 2009 Wish this place was bigger! Upscale. Friendly Staff. Excellent beer selection for Tallahassee. Definitely worth a try. |
