| SaintMatty (128), Uppsala, Sweden | | April 16, 2009 As others have said, it’s quite a cosy place, but lacking a real choice for tickers. The staff are friendly, but do not seem to be so knowledgeable about beer. | | gnoff (200), Göteborg, Sweden | | April 13, 2009 Visited April 10 and April 11, 2009. Did not eat. Rather cosy place, though a bit off. Mostly imported beers. Not so much for ticking, but could be a nice place to have a few beers in a relaxed surrounding and letting your feet rest. | | TimE (189), Tokyo, Japan | | September 25, 2008 Stumbled on this place walking from Olletorn to the bus station. Only about 4 min walk from the bus stations towards town. Best ambiance to drink beer in Tallin, big open two floored place. Lots of young, attractive female customers and a nice open patio. The beers were nothing special for estonian beers. Saku, plus some others. About 40 or so imported beers and I settled on Budwieser Dark Lager as the Estonian beers were not exciting. Food looked good and very reasonably priced with an English menu. Staff was somewhat attentive. Good place to go with a non-beer geek friend, especially if they are a guy. | | FatPhil (222), Tallinn, Estonia | | June 3, 2008 [ Updated December 20, 2011 ] 3 years ago, I’d say: "Worth the trek, more of a beer pub than anywhere else I’ve seen in Tallinn, but that’s not saying a huge amount. Even though I had 1750+ beers ticked, including nearly 400 Belgians, when I went there, I still managed to find 5 new Belgian beers." 3 Years later, and things have moved on a little. However, after 5800 beers, I still found a tick there. However, the selection is noticeably less varied than it was (even if as numerable). Staff are friendly, but not beer people. Happily let me take 3 beers away still sealed. Didn’t eat, but the food looked good, and they had an outdoor grill for the summer. Meals between 60 and 120 EEKs. Even though it’s right on the main road, they’ve built a facade to separate the front courtyard terrace from the road, which makes it far more pleasant. Slightly rustic wood interior. I fully approve. |
