| sebletitje (200), Enghien, Belgium | | January 26, 2012 Place is a Luekens type of bottle shop, actually I can’t remember if they don’t warehouse some of the beers for the Tpa/Oldsmar locations. In terms of atmosphere, well, a warehouse like store, maybe that counts.
Bottle selection is nice, in the back of the store, mainly liquor and wines.
Visited a few times, but never saw anything that other stores did not have, maybe some price difference depending on the products. Find the usual suspects plus some harder to get beers, worth the visit if in the area. | | markwise (124), North of Tampa, Florida | | July 9, 2011 Great place, very similar to Leukens, but a bit pricier. They have a selection of vintage beers behind the counter, but one of them is Squall. They are very clean and well-lit with a great selection of new and vintage beers. They had some hard-to-find Belgians and some great English beers, as well as a great selection of American craft stuff. Very similar to Leukens, but some different stuff and older bottles mixed in. Worth the trip. | ethanol (1), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 4, 2011 Huge selection. Lots of Abt’s/Belgain Ale’s. | | Ibrew2or3 (248), Phoenix, Arizona | | February 17, 2011 Wow, the location of this place is messed up here on ratebeer. It is at the NW corner of Gunn and Lynn. Solid selection of beer and loads of quantity stored in this warehouse like atmosphere. As with anyplace be wary of styles that are not meant for aging. I usual don’t fall victim to this but here I did. This place is always worth a visit if you’re in the area with their solid selection and good pricing. I need to head back here soon. | | BeerFanDan17 (23), Land O Lakes, Florida | | March 19, 2010 A very solid beer selection and reasonable prices. In the rear coolers. Facing the coolers as well as in the back half of the center aisle are a fine selection of Belgian and American microbrew. Plenty of the best of each--Weyerbacher, Stone, North Coast, etc.--along with a good variety of Abbeys and en lambics. Best in Citrus Park area by far. | | kiefdog (118), Tampa, Florida | | December 17, 2009 Visited in early December, 2009. Nice store, very clean but no one but me and the staff person were in the shop on this particular day. Beer selection was good to excellent for the area. They carry most of what the other Leukens stores carry, and there were some vintage beers available as well. American craft and imports each have their own end-cap, and there are a bunch of coolers with even more beers inside. Singles and 4/6 packs are available plus a lot of beers in a warm section near the coolers. This shop is definitely worth a stop when in the area. | | nick76 (91), Tampa, Florida | | May 7, 2009 [ Updated June 12, 2010 ] The ambiance is a typical liquor store, yet very new and clean. They will not separate six packs other than what is in the coolers which thankfully is 80% of what they sell. The bottle selection is the best in north Tampa, surpassing Total and ABC. They have everything from hard liquor and wine to cigars. In the beer department they have micro and macro and even a few hard to find imports. The prices are average to a little high. Overall a great selection of beer and if you don’t mind buying in six packs (not a lot of bulk sizes like Total) it beats Total and ABC. | | thejon375 (14), Tampa, Florida | | May 1, 2009 Ronnie is the man and very knowledgeable. Carrollwood needed a place like this. Great beer selection as well as liquor, wine and cigars. Go in there and check out his singles as well as six packs. Good prices and good service. |
