34 reviews for Total Wine and More - Tampa
| smith4498 (16), Miami, Florida | | November 8, 2009 Big selection with lots of singles. Well organized. Good prices. Worth checking out when in the area (next to Cigar City Brewing) | Oddefellowe (3), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | October 16, 2009 Total Wine is in a convenient location and offers a large selection of six packs and singles from mostly American micros for decent prices. | | HOPSHUNTER (16), Tampa, Florida | | September 5, 2009 The Wal-Mart of alcohol, I say who cares. It was a nice, well organized, well lighted store. Great selection, great prices, clean store. I was able to find more than a few beer I wanted to purchase. Glad to have this store in Tampa it makes a great addition to the Tampa beer scene. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | August 6, 2009 Good selection. Not a lot of beer knowledge. good prices. | | shawnm213 (42), South Bend, Indiana | | August 5, 2009 Located next to cigar city. Had one bottle of big sound scotch ale and three bottles of humidor jai alai when I went there. Everyuthing is sold in singles. Nothing crazy rare but nice for an out of towner. | | changeup45 (46), Orlando, Florida | | July 6, 2009 [ Updated October 22, 2009 ] This place is located pretty much right next to Cigar City Brewing, so, when making a trip to Cigar CIty I decided to check this out as well. Typical Total Wine. Pretty good selection (I think TW tends to be under-rated in this department), great prices, but you probably won’t get much service. Matter of fact the check out person wasn’t very friendly. Whatever. It is what it is. | | TampaBrew (15), Tampa, Florida | | May 31, 2009 Big Box Liquor store. Great beer selection. They usually have all available new releases and keep everything else in stock. Prices are usually good. They never have anything "rare" so to speak, but if you are looking for a good bomber or a sixer of an american micro, you’ll find it here. The staff is a bunch of check out clerks and "suits" that know very little about the beers they sell. My only other gripe is that they are about 100 yards away from the cigar city brewery and they don’t carry their beer. Great stop though, if you are in Tampa. | DanielD (8), does not count - explanation | | May 18, 2009 Regular Total Wine package. Good selection, prices go up about once a month - they have a formula and they use it. They get us hooked with superb service in the first few months and the prices are low initially. That slowly changes. I’ve noticed it in the Sarasota store. When I talk to people they think things are much cheaper than they are. I actually made the trip to this store since someone told me they had Raison D’Extra for $8 a four-pack. Of course, I should have called the store. They didn’t have any and if they did it would have been much more. Solid and consistent for package beers. | | markwise (56), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida | | May 13, 2009 I went into this TW expecting the usual experience, but it is in an old Rooms to Go place, and their prices were not what I remembered. They were still pretty good, but Whole Foods had better prices, and a lot of rarer beers. They still have great prices, but they seem to be going up. The usual Total Wine selection with virtually no deviation. They did have Terrapin Monk’s Revenge, but wanted $11 for it! Still very worthwhile stop for regular beers at a more than fair price. | | SHIG (79), Aviano, Italy | | March 12, 2009 Walked into this large store. Lots of wine, but also a large dedicated area to beer. You can find beer from all over the world and great craft beer. The prices are very reasonable and some lower than I have seen elsewhere in Tampa. I will visit here again and its close to Cigar City Brewing making it worth the stop. |
