Visited on a Wednesday evening in July 2022. A rather dark place that was popular. The service was decent from the two gentlemen behind the bar. The selection on tap was ok (10 standard and 10 more interesting ones) they also had bottles and cans. I had one beer, a Sonnisaari Trooppi that cost 7.20 EUR for 0,3l. Good central location. This felt like a place with a lot of regular customers.

When I saw a sign for the spillwater brands, I almost walked by. But inside 24 taps. 75% with import macros, but I found a brand new brazilian dipa. It saved my visit.

Visited several times in August 2020. Located in the small city center of Tampere, easy to find. Atmosphere is typical bar, a lot of wood on the walls, rustic. Staff is nice, you need to order directly at the bar of course. About 12 beers on tap (great selection), many more canned or bottled. Selection is mainly focused on high quality crafts, but also some standard stuff. Prices are okay for Finnland, in general high, but you can also find some reasonable priced crafts. One of the best places to have beers in Tampere.

Two blocks from the train station and thus very centrally located, this is a top spot in town. Super comfortable place to chill, with a tiny balcony. They have 9-10 regular uninteresting beers, plus up to 10 rotating beers - most of which were not Finnish, but other Nordic beers. No flights, smallest size is 0.2L for most beers, and given the caliber of most beers, you will pay for it: €6 for a 0.2L and €9 for a 0.3L. That’s some serious Finnish pricing there. Service was okay, a bit slow and not friendly - par for the course in this country. When in Tampere, this is a must visit.

There is basically nothing so special here but for some reason it’s still always a pleasure to enter the place. Nice staff, good selection. Sports on the various screens but they don’t dominate too much..

My local haunt. The mixed reviews feel a bit confusing, as the bottle list’s been Tampere’s best for many years now (there’s no list at Tuulensuu), and if people are indeed only in for the tap selection, well, that issue’s been addressed in 2017 too. It’s a unique milieu with a special feel that’s a perfect fit with the old industrial city. The staff know their game, as well.

Always worth sticking your head round the door of this place, as there’s almost always a couple of ticks. And if there isn’t, then you may as well just pick an old favourite, as the beer menu’s very strong. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant atmosphere, easy to relax here.

A popular pub but I found it quite ordinary. The tap list didn’t impress me much but I spotted more interesting bottles in the fridge. But, I sticked to beers from tap although I didn’t have many interesting new beers to chose from. (Visited June 27th 2014)
