(Visited 12/2007): Albertsons is located at the intersection of Tucker and Valley road near downtown Tehachapi. There is a large store front parking area. The interior is like any other grocery store. The beer section is to the immediate right of the entrance and most of it is in coolers. The beer selection at Albertsons is pretty good for a grocery store, and very good for a grocery store in the mountains. Domestic craft beers from Kona, Wingwalker, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada etc are all available. There are also some imports but it is mostly the stuff you can get anywhere. Albertsons also allows customers to take singles of any of the brews. Service here is standard for a grocery store. In other words good luck finding a beer expert. Overall I was pleasantly surprised to find the selection I did, and ended up stocking up on some new beers and some that I hadn’t had for awhile. Definitely worth a peek on future visits.
