| simontheeditor (11), Richmond, England | | April 2, 2012 Good selection of beers which are all described on a proper beer menu with strength, brewery and location and IBUs. For a Brit like me the beer was served too cold, but improved in flavour after being left for a few minutes to warm up. Food was fine (a sharing place of Mexican snacks). | | Radek Kliber (72), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Poland | | December 23, 2011 Nice place in downtown Torono. very nice tap list made mostly of local breweries. Bottle list suffer. Good food at reasonable prices. Average to good service. | | PatIrish (12), Toronto, Ontario | | December 21, 2011 Quite frankly, C’est What? has become an institution in respects to beer mecca’s in Toronto. Always have cask’s available, and have a wide variety of good brews to choose from. | | solidfunk (39), Ontario | | November 26, 2011 Went here and sat on the resto side because the lounge side was full. There was a decent jazz band going when we got there, but couldn’t hear much in the other room. Sat at the bar there but service was fairly average. Decent beers on tap mostly, as well as some good casks. Had teh staggering pig and it was pretty average. Wouldn’t eat here again if I came to try some more of the casks. | | kevinsenn (31), Waterloo, Ontario | | October 11, 2011 Always a great selection of Canadian craft brews here. Seasonals and cask ales are a bonus. Food is good and reasonably priced. Had a delicious corned beef sandwich made with their Rye beer - a special for "Craft Beer Week". Their Rye beer itself is great, though I am sorry to say I haven’t seen their "Mild Brown Ale" on the menu for years. It must’ve been discontinued, which is a shame, because it was different and interesting. | | rejtable (25), Ontario | | October 7, 2011 A Toronto institution. Great ambience when the place is crowded, less so when it is slow. Always interesting collection of Ontario craft beer. Food is great. Really nothing bad to be said. | | rosenbergh (275), Helsinki, Finland | | July 20, 2011 Great selection. 16 taps. 2 casks. Nice big pub with excellent service. Worth a visit or even more. | | trapped (16), , Turkey | | July 11, 2011 A very good find. I liked the atmosphere, the sincerity of the staff and the pool tables were an extra. The homebrews were fabulous and I also like the idea of serving only local beer. Strongly recommended | | KPD (64), Michigan | | July 10, 2011 [ Updated February 19, 2012 ] Really huge selection of beers on tap, lots of things I hadn’t heard of or that we get in the US, must stop if in Toronto and you are a beer fan. | | ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | June 16, 2011 Definitely a must stop in the toronto beer scene. This place is basically a brewpub with lots of guess taps. they had about 5 or 6 house brews on tap. There bottle list wasnt impressive but they had a wide tap list that was very nice to see and made up for having no bottles. Service was decent, we didnt get any of the food but the beer was worth the stop. The place is in a basement and it has a ton of character. Recommend stopping in if you havent been. |
