| KPD (64), Michigan | | May 23, 2012 Visited on an afternoon, not many folks in the bar. 8 beers on tap, and I was happy with the quality. A good cream sle, brown ale, stout, blond, a Scottish brown, the ipa we would call a pale ale is the states, given the hop orgy the brewers have been on there for years. Really nice job. Very nice staff. Food was pretty good as well. | | sseb69 (21), Gatineau, Quebec | | April 24, 2011 [ Updated February 17, 2012 ] Souper un vendredi soir. Excellente serveuse, bonnes beer, beau menu, excellent moment !!! | | mabel (211), Toronto, Ontario | | March 13, 2010 Visited on the last day of the year, they were throwing a party at 8pm but we got there early and hung out for dinner. Food was fine, I tried the La Lorraine salad but would probably get something else next time. We tried 8 of their brews from the tap and most were just OK; the IPA was the best of the bunch that night. Great music selection, really different artists coming up from the song list but made for a good mix. Small pub ambiance inside an old converted house makes it cozy and interesting to hang out and just look around at all the appealing artwork and bottles on display. Would return to try new brews and possibly stay to party without the in-laws. | | jerc (211), Toronto, Ontario | | January 1, 2010 2009-12-31. Atmosphere is pretty cozy, pub/lodge like feel, funky paintings for sale on the wall. I assume they vary, there were two that I quite liked on this visit. Food was a fairly standard pub assortment with some Quebecois twists I guess, as well as mussels. I had a burger that was tasty but not outstanding. Salads and chicken dishes were enjoyed if not raved about by the rest of my party. Beer was all quite serviceable, with the stout and IPA being the most flavourful. The latter being the one I chose for a pint after finishing off a sampler. Waitress was quite friendly and pretty bilingual. The bartender was belting it out singing along to the music at times. Music might be on the loud side of acceptable under normal circumstances, but it was New Years Eve after all. Music selection was eclectic, ranging from reggae, to Johnny Cash, Bedouin Soundclash, and traditional Quebec folk music, most of which was quite enjoyable. Even my parents were tapping their toes. Would go back if in the neighborhood. | | robinvboyer (54), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario | | September 9, 2009 Great looking place. Quite trendy, and the decor is original and vibrant. The staff was extremely pleasant, and friendly. Ive had many tasting platters at many bars and this was the 1st bar to bring me my tasting platter with some crackers to cleans my palate, and she also gave a description of every beer, and even suggested what order I should drink them in. I was impressed with her knowledge. The food was outstanding! Its resto pub food, but its super tasty, and very well done. My lamb burger with curry mayo was great, and my wifes chicken burger was a REAL chicken breast, not a frozen hunk of flesh from a box! imagine that!
They had 8 beers on tap, and they were all decent. Again, nothing mind blowing, their stout and IPA were the stand outs. It was nice to see them try some different beers such as a dubbel, and a cream ale. Overall a worthwhile stop for lunch and some quality beers. | | JulienHuxley (64), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec | | July 6, 2009 [ Updated August 8, 2011 ] This place always has a selection of 8 beers brewed on spot the best being the IPA and the Stout. The food is simple but great pub food. The beer isn’t worth what they charge for it, unless you have a small pitcher where the value is better. | | Hoser (137), Cowtown, Alberta | | March 29, 2009 Looked like the place could be fun, the beer was okay and the food was better than average. | | presario (135), Stampede City, Alberta | | March 15, 2009 Wide open. Pretty busy for weekday lunch. 8 beers on tap. Two sample filghts of 4. Pleasant short lunch menu. Attractive and tasty salad. | clubchat (2), Sullivan, Quebec does not count - explanation | | September 11, 2008 Nouvel habitant du coin, j’adore aller leur rendre visite, très bon spectacle chaque semaine, excellentes bières et beaucoup de choix ! |
