Pete’s is a beer/wine/liquor store that has capitalized on the newly lifted ABV limit in Alabama. You’d have to drive to Montgomery to find another store with six-packs of craft brewed North American beers, European imports, and even a few Trappist treats like Orval and Westmalle. Pete’s selection isn’t impressive compared to beer megastores in metro areas, but it’s definitely an oasis in south Alabama. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair for the region.
