Natonum (1), Coker, Alabama does not count - explanation | | February 15, 2012 This is THE place to buy beer in Tuscaloosa, especially if you aren’t college age, more mature crowds here. | | dfinney23 (12), Houston, Texas | | January 9, 2012 [ Updated January 12, 2012 ] Great place to go if you’re not from the area. I easily found a couple mixed-sixes of beers I can’t get in Texas including Terrapin, Bells, Founders and more. Only bummer is not much (and none of the singles) is refrigerated. | | jzzbassman (26), New Albany, Mississippi | | October 16, 2011 The place to go in Tuscaloosa, a bit hard to find unless you venture outside the university area. Good folks, fair prices, good mix 6 selection. Be aware no bombers yet due to the law on container size. | | blutt59 (121), Dallas, Texas | | April 11, 2011 Similar selection to Letters but location is much further out from the campus, singles available also | | markwise (124), North of Tampa, Florida | | February 10, 2011 Came through here last weekend. The place has almost wall-to-wall bottles. It was not until I looked through them that I realized that the selection was pretty good. Several more Florida beers that were not anywhere else, as well as some Baltic Porters, and Cadillac Mountain Stout. The man at the counter left us alone until checkout. If you have two places to go in Tuscaloosa, this one is worth a stop. | theaudist (3), Alabama does not count - explanation | | June 1, 2010 For a college town, Spirits has an amazing selection. Some people say its not that great, but as another reviewer noted "that’s like complaining about water in a desert". staff was very knowledgeable and the bottle prices are great. Make your own 6 pack option is nice and the staff updates its beer picks weekly. Lots of seasonal specials, and many microbrew bottles for 1.99 or less. A pint of sprecher scotch was 2$. Can’t beat that in Tuscaloosa. | mholdefer (1), Northport, Alabama does not count - explanation | | August 15, 2009 Tuscaloosa’s premier source for gourmet beer and ales |
