One of the smaller student pubs in Uppsala though with one of the biggest selections. It lacks real depth though and doesn’t seem to change a lot over time. You’ll need to get a guest card (students only) to get in. Service and cooking is carried out by students, so don’t expect anything more than very basic stuff. Some of the guys in the more seem to know a few things about beer, but it’s really hit-and-miss and overall service isn’t the best. The big advantage here is good beer at great prices!

A student pub open only for guests with a valid Uppsala student-ID. The pyb is just a small quite worn down room some stairs up in an old student house building (GH-Nation). Since it’s run by students and the change from year to year so does the selection of beers. Usually quite good pending between 100 - 200 bottles and 5 taps (2 Slottskällan, 1 open, 2 from Åbro). Good prices on beer even though it has increased quite a lot the last couple of years. The menu is basic pub food (nacho, burger, salad). Mostly Belgian beers but aslo some nice American and Swedish. Best beer selection of the student pubs.

Yeah well... a student’s pub, so those without a student’s pass will not be allowed in. The ambiance might be seen as cosy, but also incredibly worn down and close to shabby. There is only one toilet close to the pub and it is not recommended if you want to stay healthy. The service is happy but ignorant (students...) but the selection is great. Food is limited to snacks or very light meals. So, it is a place to visit if you can - then go somewhere else.

I love this place. It’s so cheap and the selection is by far the best in Uppsala. Probably one of the best in Sweden. The food is pretty bad though. But cheap!

The best nation in Uppsala as far as beer and whisky goes. One of the best selections in Scandinavia, wIth all the proper glassware and a great atmosphere, not to mention the prices which are relieved from Swedish VAT. I feel sorry for all the non-students that doesn’t have access to this great pub.
