Very nice pub, centrally located in Uppsala. It’s a long bar on the first floor, with more seating in separate rooms. Sometimes there’s live music as well (meaning there may be an entrance fee). Service was swift, friendly and quite knowledgeable. Food is the usual pub grub and quite good. The Irish sounding name makes you suspect the beer selection consists of Guinness, Kilkenny, a crappy mass produced lager and nothing else. But here comes a nice surprise. The selection of draught beers is quite good, with a very interesting range of guest beers (for example Croocked Moon Hurricane IPA and Mikkeller Black Hole Tequila Barrel on my visit). Quite impressive and well mixed selection of bottled beers as well. With only 40 minutes on the train from Stockholm it’s close enough for a visit. A very welcome beer place in a town infamous for it’s lack of watering holes for non students.

The best place in Uppsala at the moment and also one of the best places in the Stockholm-Uppsala area. Huge selection of beers and nice atmosphere. Located in the city centre. Do not miss if you are in Uppsala.

After visiting and being impressed by Monk’s bar and Akkurat, I was completely blown away by O’Connor’s! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, good prices, and an ever-growing and already very impressing range of beers available. Furthermore they are very ambitious, I’m looking forward to visit this bar again whenever I’m in Sweden. For those who are visiting Stockholm, it’s definitely worth it to travel a bit north to Uppsala to visit O’Connor’s!

One of Sweden’s best beer pubs. Nothing posh just a simple pub with great prices and a fantastic selection. (With a walk-in beer room!) Run by a devoted owner. For me the only things missing are Närke beers and maybe some own awesome beers! Well worth the 40 min train ride from Stockholm. Cheers!

This pub has gone from being decent to being one of the best pubs in Sweden. Definitely worth it to go back there again if you haven’t been there for a while. They have a wide selection of tap beer and an even wider selection of bottled beer. All at very affordable prices. They also have some kind of beer club for regulars and people that are very interested in beer. They get access to a small pub with even more exclusive stuff. Fantastic place, I can’t wait to go back.

Probably one of the best beer bars in Sweden at the moment. A selection of over 900 bottles at the moment, with the owner looking to get it even larger, and several rotating taps with interesting beers. By Swedish standards the prices are great. Located right in the city centre and a 5 minute walk from the train station, it’s easy to go here on a daytrip from Stockholm.

During the last year, this place has gone from being quite mediocre, to one of the best beer-pubs in Sweden, with over 900 beers on bottle and a serious beer selection on tap. O’connors also boasts a loyalty bar, which serves only luxury beers. This place alone is worth a trip from Stockholm.

Surprisingly decent and diverse range of beers (primarily in bottled form) and friendly service. I’ve heard that it’s the best place in Uppsala and whilst I’m yet to visit any other bars in Uppsala, this place will take some beating.
