HV (2), Utrecht, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | July 31, 2009 Has an excellent selection of Belgian and Dutch beers, a good choice of British and German beers, a few good American beers, and the odd cider.
Supply/restocking can be a problem sometimes.
Would like to see more choice in Eastern European and Scandinavian beers, and more and better perry and cider. (And say no to canned beer/cider!) | bogus (4), Zeist, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | July 25, 2009 [ Updated November 20, 2009 ] Great shop, great selection of beers! Mostly from Belgium. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Wonderfull shop to browse for a while. | gmonroe10 (1), , Netherlands does not count - explanation | | December 22, 2008 This is the local beershop- 800 different bottles (i cannot say i have counted them all yet!) claimed, including any hard to find ones you could ever want. Great staff, great selection, reasonable prices. Highly recommended. | | NoiZe (49), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands | | September 30, 2008 They got a lot of belgian and dutch beers. Some brews from other countries, mostly germany, england and some eastern europe brews. Prices are ok, except for the Westvleteren beers. 7 euro’s is just too miuch. And they should have some brews from Denmark, Sweden and USA! Not a lot new things come along, but regular assortment is nice too.

If you visit the store often. be sure to ask for a discount, you’ll get a card with 10% discount or so.

Be sure to visit the Ledig Erf cafe nearby to drink some brews. And Kafe Belgie of course. | arhythmt (3), does not count - explanation | | June 25, 2008 What a great beer store! I went in today and they had Westvleteren Blonde, 8, and 12. I decided to try a couple of each. They also had De Molen Rasputin, which I decided to get so I could age it for a few years before trying one. Lots of great glassware, some fun T-shirts, and obviously a whole lot of good beer. Not entirely as complete as De Bierkoning, but as Rastacouere pointed out Bert’s seems to have a better Dutch beer selection. Still, t’Arendsnest in Amsterdam has more Dutch beers available...although you’ll need to drink them there. :) | | BeerBiker (36), Kathmandu, Nepal | | November 14, 2007 Had a serious booking of beers via mail. They answered a wrong answer after one month and when my friend entered the shop they only had a few of the beers that I found from their homepage. The staff seemed a bit unqualified in that situation. | | Rastacouere (475), Montréal, Quebec | | September 10, 2007 A pretty small operation in an obviously too small local. Hundreds of beers piled in a not always logical manner. It is charming to look to the rear of those filled shelves in the hope to find a hidden treasure. I spent half an hour there and could have doubled that time. I think they may have more Dutch beers than Bierkoning, possibly more Belgians even, but less from other countries. Still, this has to be one of the best in the country and the selection is totally different from what you find in Amsterdam.. and usually far cheaper than in the capital. An absolute must. | messymatt (3), , Netherlands does not count - explanation | | August 15, 2006 It is a shop so no ambiance, but good selection of beers, they even have VB. | bikesandbeers (4), Los Angeles, California does not count - explanation | | January 26, 2006 A pleasant stroll down the Oudgracht for Kafe Belgie. Best selection of Dutch micros I’ve seen, and a lot of everything else. Very reasonable prices. The gentleman working didn’t seem to speak much english, but I knew what I wanted and was able to find it all without much trouble. When ringing me up, he had about half the prices in his head, and looking up the last few wasn’t bad. | | jbrus (110), Delft, Netherlands | | December 1, 2005 Nice shop, nice selection, not the most expensive beershop in Holland. A lot of Inbev of course but also nice Geuze (among them Girardin, Cantillon, Oud Beersel). Mainly Dutch, Belgian, German and UK beers. |
