Been here several times when they were still open. Used to be a nice place with mostly Belgian beers. Very friendly people. They were famous for their whisky miniatures. Had a lot of them.

So I tried to locate this place with many walks through Utrecht Central Station. None was convincing me that the store was still alive. And I was right, after asking one of the main persons responsible for the traffick inside the train station and Hoog Catharijne, he told me with the recent construction works the liquor store disappeared and does not come back! Hence I choose the out of business button!

A shop in the main station complex, mainly selling wines, spirits and less-than-interesting mass produced beer, but there was a small selection of bottles from Dutch breweries such as 7 Deugden, Christoffel and La Trappe. Seven of the 7 Deugden bottles were displayed in the window alongside a selection of meads which included some from a company called Mead and More. I hadnít come across this before although itís billed on their own website as a Dutch mead specialist. (Visited 2 October 2012).

Convenient when travelling trough Utrecht Centraal station, in the hallway leading towards the Jaarbeurs. Very limited selection of good beers but if youíre lucky you may find a small Dutch brewer such as7 Deugden, Kompaan or De Leckere. Nothing chilled unfortunately, because itís still - even with this limitations - better than the other places that are located at the train station.

Not exactly a huge or interesting beer selection, but worth a mention if you have any interest in spirits, the occasional odd malt and bourbon to be found.

Located in the busy Utrecht Central Station. No atmosphere, crowded station where everyone is too busy. Beer selection right by the entrance in full day light. Dutch selection limited to about 3 breweries with the rest being mostly left to Belgian beers and a few British beers. Terrible, uninterested person working there, never acknowledged my presence despite me saying hello twice, was obviously too busy checking the stock.

Conveniantly placed very near the central railway station in Utrecht. Standard assortment with an occasional surprise. Not cheap. Good enough for a quick look in between trains, but if you have more time, visit Berts Bierhuis instead.
