Liberty is a group of shops; don’t forget to check the other branches, one may be closer to you (if you don’t want to go all the way up to Point Grey). This one used to have the best selection among the Liberty, but last time, in August 2011, I thought it was getting less. Another branch, on Granville Island, doesn’t have beers but has some Cider and Ice Cider.

Pretty small selection of craft beers, with too many limited for purchase in 6-packs. No real reason to come here when so many other options exist. Closest alternative is Darby’s great beer store.

The ambiance is cramped and you might feel like a bull in a china shop, but the upside is that this place is small and packed with good stuff. Service is excellent and definitely enthusiastic about the beer selections. Rivals only Brewery Creek in that regard. This is one of the top two beer destinations in the city.

Very friendly staff, nice location & ambiance. Good selection of imported beers, and some mead & cider, not to mention their mainstay of wine. I get the sense that they’re new to the whole beer thing (only been selling since summer 2006) but perhaps if business picks up in the beer department, they might consider bringing more in, and perhaps holding some events similar to the ones they hold for wine.

Certainly one of the best stores in town. First, the ambiance is much more what I want in a store - darker lighting, wood, and cases stacked in the aisles. None of that painfully bright supermarket crap like at LDB. Selection includes several spec products that are pretty hard to find - Traquair Laird’s Liquor, Flying Dog, the Binchoise ones; plus the ones that are becoming more common (Brooklyn, Pike, Darbyste). They also carry Tugwell meads and Ross cider. Worth a trek out to Point Grey every once in a while.
