Nice brewpub right by Waterfront station in Vancouver. Selection of their own microbrews- it is hit and miss as to what is available. Food is good quality pub fare. Great stop before you stumble east or south.
Visited first time on Sunday June 21, 2015. Walked over from Postmark. Arrived 13:45 or so. Busy to packed place, also the place is huge. 8 beers on, flights of 4 available, size 5 oz each. Fairly expensive. Couldn’t get their wifi working for me. Staff friendly, but not very knowledgeable. One beer they didn’t know which one it was at first, they had to find the manager. A bunch of big TV-screens showing sports. Very tourist part of town. Close to Waterfront station. Small parking (pay) just outside.
Huge with a big bar area, restaurant area and large patio. Service was good, but not beer centric. Prices are a bit high considering they brew their own. Sampler flight available. Didn’t eat. Not bad, but nothing exciting and their beers are pretty safe.
Nicely located in the more touristic part of Vancouver. Not far from Canada Place. Simple american interior. Quick service. Prices were good, but we were still not used to the tipping culture. So I hope we tipped enough. Selection was limited but they had some interesting non-beer drinks, and free water. That is great since it is not at all common in Belgium. What I don’t like is that they ask 10 times if everything is fine. Seriously, just let us eat and drink and if I have a question, I’ll ask it myself. (Probably that’s why everyone calls Belgian "a-social persons") . Food was really good. Good portion, just the fries could have been better. I would certainly come back if I’m back in Vancouver.
This place is friggin huge. Stopped in after wandering around the main drag of Gastown on Water St. There’s the main bar when you enter, the patio, the main dining room, a downstairs dining room and a downstairs bar. Holy moly. To get to the bathrooms is like navigating a maze.
In any event, the place itself felt a little bit like a perhaps slightly classier Rock Bottom (to use a reference to something I’m familiar with here in the US). They had about 8 beers on tap which includes 4 regulars, some seasonals, and some specials. The beer quality wasn’t great. But it was decent, I guess.
Service at the bar was really friendly and was pretty on top of it. In the dining room was a bit slow. The pricing is pretty decent compared to other places. Food isn’t cheap, but you get a pretty good portion.
Stopped in here for dinner with the family. Ate downstairs, where there were big wood beams and views out over the train tracks and the harbor. Food was above average; beer was below average but overall a fun place with good service and nice atmosphere.
