Great selection of mostly Canadian, American and British craft beers. Some Belgian beers as well. Its very small and jammed with stock, so aisles are narrow. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. A bit pricey, but most selections will not be found in LCB stores.

Great selection of mainly BC and USA beers. Very friendly and knowledgeable help from a good looking girl. Loads of good wines as well BTW. Prices were OK I guess, but I can’t compare to other shops in Canada.

This tiny little shop attached to the Moda Hotel is in the most out-of-the-way central location I can think of (Seymour & Smithe). Basically, it’s the only private store downtown worth knowing about for beer. They carry a wide range of specialty beers, including some that are otherwise only found at Brewery Creek (Lost Coast Indica IPA, Deus). It’s a little bit disorganized but I like that in a beer store. Probably the #3 private store in the city but the only decent one downtown.
