Visited them after a meal at the Spinnakers Brew Pub. Picked up 4 750 ml of single malts and the Elgood’s Captain Vancouver 250th Anniversary Ale. As a citizen of Fort George. I felt it important to test this brew. If it were not for John Jacob Astor, Captain Robert Gray, and Capt. Vancouver the West Coast beer scene may not have happened?

Went there after GCBF. After talking to the guy at the till it sounded like exhibitors had given him a better selection of beers to try than they had for sale. Very little selection - they had a decent amount of local beer and a smattering of Belgian beers, but almost no British beers. They were really helpful, and managed to get rid of a customer who was drunk and trying to strike up conversation with my poor wife. Beware, though, they charge a premium on Spinnakers beers - get a better selection of Spinnakers stuff for up to 65 cents cheaper per bottle at the brewpub itself, only a 5-minute walk away. | | CapFlu (185), Victoria, British Columbia | | August 10, 2006
A decent selection - very impressed with the Alaskan and Elysian beers as I haven’t seen them elsewhere in the province.
