Unintersting selection on tap. I’d say head straight to the bottles. That said, they had bottles that were not listed in the menu. On my visit they had all the beers from the Kocour brewery of Czech Republic. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff for any non-listed brews, they speak a very good english. Ambiance was really nice. The jazz music paired well with the candle lights.

Nice place for beer in Vienna, very good selection of Austrian and German beers, with pretty basic Belgians. Prices could be lower, but nevertheless are acceptable. I agree with mross that most of the beers are served too cold.

Very small, cosy and intimate beer bar close to the Westbahnhof. Decent range of Austrian beers (around 6) on draught. Extensive and exciting range of Belgium beers, mostly around €4.30. Nice selection of German beers, for example...Ayinger Celebrator and Schneider Aventinus. I’ve been there are few times now and bar staff are very friendly and attentive. It can get very smokey as it is only a small location and there is nowhere the smoke to escape. Most beers served in proper glassware but my only real criticism is that they serve the beers at a temperature that is way to cold. Overall...a "must-visit" location in Vienna.

Hidden little bar close to Westbahnhof and in a quiet little area. When you enter the bar there are about ten tables scattered around and a bar in the center that you can stand at. There is a little side room with another five or so tables. Was there on a Wednesday night and the bar was full with a projection of a futbol game playing. Very smoking, with probably about every table with a smoker, even the girl working the bar was smoking from time to time. This gave it a Sports Bar kind of vibe, with wasn’t ideal for beer tasting. The girl working the bar was very busy, as the bar was full and she was the only one working. For the most part, I didn’t have any problem ordering a beer, but I was also at the bar. She didn’t seem overly concerned or attentive to me, or what I was ordering, but they used the proper glassware. Selection was pretty good, especially for Wien. A lot of different Belgians, some Germans, and a few Austrian beers as well. Pretty good selection with the star for me being the Hop Devil made by 1512 Brewery in Wien. I didn’t try any of the food, but it looked pretty much like the offering was dominated by snack foods. Reasonably priced with beers on tap being about €3 for 500 mL, German bottles about €3,50 and Belgians about €4 - 4,50. All together it is a nice bar for Wien. It seems like when I went, it was somewhere between a Sports Bar and a "Beer" bar. Atmosphere may be a little smokey, and the waitstaff may be less beer knowledgeable than you may want, but the selection is nice. I would say if you are in Wien it is definitely worth visiting the place, especially for getting the Hop Devil. The Känguruh Bernsteintrunk is pretty nice as well.

Great little beer bar stocking an extensive Belgian and German bottle list. Also a half dozen taps of local Austrian beer. A few nice finds like Pannepot and De Dolle and Urthel beers. Reasonably priced as well. The only flaw is that it can get very smoky inside when busy. A must in Vienna if you are after great beer and something different.

Once you’ve became accustomed to the rather gloomy interior, this is really a nice place to visit and have a beer. The beer selection consists of austrian, german and belgian beers, with the vast majority being from belgium. The beers are served with the proper glassware but a little too cold for my liking. The service is really friendly, especially the owner. To quote my girlfriend, she is most likely the friendliest waitress you’ll meet in Vienna. Only a few snacks available.

Very good beer selection of Austrian draft beers (Hop Devil) and German and Belgium bottled beers. One of the few brew pubs in Austria which serves the Rauchbier from the Heller/Schlenkerla brewery (only bottled). But Service is ver unfriendly!

Best beer bar with belgium beers (over 70) in Austria. Some german classics (Schneider, Schlenkerla, Weltenburger) and a good selection of austrian beers (incl. the 1516 Hop Devil). Don’t expect to eat there, they offer only some small snacks.

Great beer bar in the 6th district near the Westbahnhoff train station. Atmosphere is very nice, bar is constructed of gorgeous dark wood and houses what appear to be interesting antique taps. Beer list includes 6 or 7 taps with mainly Austrian beers, as well as a Belgian focused bottle list of around 70 beers. This looks to be the best selection in Vienna. Served in proper glassware, although a little colder than ideal. Didn’t try the food, though the selection is primarily limited to snacks. If you are in Vienna and looking for a good beer bar, be sure to check it out.
