A nice little cozy beer bar in central Vilnius. Prime location but easy to miss because the bar is located in a small alley. Not a big bar to start with plus it is divided in a few rooms so it makes for an intimate cozy atmosphere. I didn’t try food, don’t know if they have any. I believe this is bar is owned by Vilniaus so obviously Vilniiaus beers is what you will find there. When I visited this place I had been in Lithuania for more than a week and visited many beer bars and breweries, I still found some new ticks on tap there, so I’d say it is really worth visiting.

This was my best experience in Vilnius. Tried to go back a second time but it was closed. The beers were all in top condition--a rarity. The young guy behind the bar was friendly and gave us some decent advice--also rare. Perhaps not as many beers to choose from as some other places, but many were very good.

Nice, alternative bar spread over a couple of small rooms. The bar itself appears to be designed to resemble an outdoor beer stall. Serves both beers from Vilniaus Alus and other traditional brewers. The owner appears to speak no English. The place is sort of hidden in a back alley, so you need to spot the silly sign in the street to find it.

Unassuming little backyard bar (you have to be alert to notice the signposts in the street) that is the Old Town brewery tap of local brewery Vilniaus Alus. Beers are well-kept and generally incredibly fresh; there are also a few guest beers from other regional brewers. The full selection from Vilniaus Alus is also available on bottle, either to drink on premises or to take home - I recommend trying the spiced dark ale (dangerously drinkable at ABV 8.2 - beware!) and the small bottles of strong ale Stetinu 13 (ABV 14.0, available in Light or Dark versions). Service is unassuming and efficient; food is limited to bar snacks.

Dark small bar in the old town of Vilnius. A few locals were enjoying their favorite beers. Barkeeper is very friendly and offers immediately the English list. The method of tapping was a bit strange, but since the beer wasn’t that bad after all, I didn’t mind.
Prices are extremely low in here.

A lot of good ales. And very central in town. Probably in the most tourist trap area. But overall a very pleasant place.

Another Lithuanian gem! Pretty much the full range of Vilniaus Alus beers (missing the spiced dark, that’s all, but including the astounding spiced old dark, which makes up for anything). Staff was friendly, polite, and prepared to tell us a little about the beers. Food was just small dishes, but you can’t say no to a hot bowl of saurkraut and sausage! VFM was very reasonable for both food and drinks. Take-out service looked like a very popular option. Entz might not be to everyone’s taste, but we loved the Queen’s Greatest Flix DVDs being played on the telly. You must prioritise this in your top 4 if beer’s your goal. (Snekutis, Alaus Namai,Bambalyne being the others)

Another awesome find in Vilnius. Tucked just inside a courtyard at the bottom of Pilies street is this gem of a boozer. It was empty when I was in (but most people likely aren’t trying to jam 3 days worth of drinking into one. They have an unusual setup for the taps whereby everything gets counterpressure bottled and then poured from the bottle to your glass. I suspect this is because they do a pretty serious trade in take out service. Young guy behind the bar seemed intrigued with my note taking, but wasn’t overly concerned about it. It’s got a small attached room for drinking your stuff in house - but very few locals seem to do is. A great selection of their own brews (not sure where they’re brewed though) ith a large selectiin of other Lithuanian farmhouse stuff. Can’t beat the prices either (4-5 litas/0.5 L drunk in-house; the same price for a liter take-away). Killed a good two hours in here and would have killed many more had I had an infinite supply of time.
