A decent place to get beer in the area if you can’t make it to Grape & Gourmet. 2nd best selection in the area (2nd to G&G) but the staff has little to no knowledge of beer.

I often go to Total Wine the most because they has a good selection of beer while being only a few miles from my house. They have a far more superior wine slection then beer, but still carry a respectable variety of quality brews. Grape and Gourmet blows Total Wine out fo the water for beer selection. Total Wine has a friendly staff with decent knowledge.

Another good place to get beer. Probalby the cheapest place in the area for good craft beers. Selection is pretty large but lacking. More of a begginer beer store. Staff is ample but not very knowledgeable. They are more oriented to wine. Still a good place to get some brew.

Stopped in while in VA Beach for a wedding. Total Wine was less than five miles away the resort area. Smaller store that I’m used ot going to and majority of the store is dedicated to wine. Diverse selection of US craft, import and ciders. Big selection of singles and bombers available as well. Staff was attentive too. I had to be reminded that VA sells liquor only at State Stores.

I was in a Wal-Mart looking for beer while on vacation and not having much luck, only alot of top 25 sellers. I saw a AB delivery guy and asked where I could get some good stuff and he directed me to this place. I was like a kid in a candy store. Great selection, Great prices, and best of all a great staff to help you out. I can’t wait to go back to VA Beach

Just a beer and wine store situated in a somewhat upscale shopping area, but a good selection of beers of all types. Supermarket feel. Very good at acquiring cases of my favorite seasonals - I go here every year for my case of Nugget Nectar and Celebration. Nice selection of singles, too.

I’m rating this based on the Va. Beach location. The store is decent sized and caters mostly to wine but has a good selection of domestic micros and imports as well. This is accually where I first started exploring the world of "good" beer. some of the the staff at the Va. Beach store was very knowledgeable and in fact I became very good friends with the majority of them during the time i lived there. the store is mostly based on wine and therefore you’ll have to ask around to find an associate that knows beer, but each store usually has atleast one person with a solid knowledge base. they can custom order you anything that is on their distributor list, but you’ll have to ask them for a copy of the list. each store orders their stock seperatly so you will not find the same things at each location. They do ahve a fair cigar selection although it is not presented in a very consumer friendly fassion. It’s just a side by side humidor cabnet stuck on the end of an isle. I always had good experiances with any price discrepancies, often times getting discounts.
