Old rating. Visited a number of times before they moved to their fancy new location and before this became the home of Lat33. Typical business park tasting room. Had around 10 taps with all the usuals as well as a few special beers. They also typically had cases of low-fills or whatever that were dirt cheap (never indulged, though). Service was always great and friendly, even when it was busy (which it generally was).

Visited half a dozen times from 2007 to 2011.

This place was always growing and getting busier on weekends, which I guess is good. In the "early days" there was one lady working the bar and they used to sell cases of low fill bottles cheap. I remember buying a case of the DIPA for $20 and another time a case of the Tripel for the same price. Cool deal.

They usually had an experimental beer on tap but the standard 6 or 7 were always there. I think the second time I went in was when they debuted the le Freak. These days it seems like they’re cranking out the new beers every week.

Plenty of room to walk around and decent amount of parking but I hated that they would put the spent grains outside because they rot and stink up the place.

Samples were pretty cheap too. I really need to check out the new location.

this is a rating of the new and old place. However, it reflects the new brewery in the score. this needs to be updated. the brewery is just north of San Diego now near Alesmith and Hess. The first brewery was pretty small but Vac used to work there. great selection and offer small tasters for $1. cant beat that! the new place is huge! there is so much empty space there its unbelievable. They can expand at will! very friendly staff working the taps and gave me some "hook ups" of rare beers. was also able to get a pk of the treasure chest. great place!

Got to see the new brewery and tasting room on a pre-conference brewery tour. The new facility is huge...lots of expansion in their future! Tasting room looks out into the brewery which will be really fun when they are up and running. Selection was very impressive. In the Chicago area, we get the IPA, the red, and occasionally the barleywine. I never would have known these guys were so into Belgian styles by that representation. Great beer, great service. Thanks!

RIP Vista Brewery

Ambiance: Typical small to med San Diego Brewery. The tasting room blends in with the production brewery. Lots of happy smiling people.

Service: Great service, can’t complain.

Selection: Just about every GF beer on tap, and a few you might have never heard of.

Value: Great value on tasters and take home beer.

Overall: Will miss this place.

Business park brewery that is off the beaten path. Nice little tasting room pretty much right in the brewery. The guys running the tasting room were outstanding, very knowledgeable and friendly. Good selection of the normal line up and a few specials. Prices are great for tasting, 7 oz for $1.50, pints for $3, are you kidding me? This place is great, from the people to the beer. Go here, drink beer and be happy.

Office park location, but easy parking. Visited twice - once when the brewery tap was official open, and sampled a few new beers, most we get in Denmark. Second time around was just a normal week day, were treated very friendly and got to sample a few beers. If my way finds it way back to the area - I’ll stop by again. The tap is just in the corner of the brewery, but a nice trophee room right next to it.

Located in a sort of out of the way business park. Easy parking. Pretty nice looking brewery on the inside (although the copper mash tun could use some polish). Pretty clean. Some huge fermenters for a somewhat small space. Really high tech looking bottling line though. Flights or individual sample (or big pours available). Including a 16oz pour of +10% Imperial Stout! Very reasonable prices. Great beers as to be expected. Also had a chance to pick up some Silva which rocked. Free cheese and cold cuts available. They have a medal room which is cool to visit. And the brewery workers were a great group to talk to. I will visit every time I am in the area!

Stopped in once while in Vista. Had some beers that were not available back home and the staff was knowledgeable and talkative. Good place to visit if you are close by.
