Was here in 2011 on a Friday. Was very crowded. We met a lot of nice people. The beer is above average. To be fair in this area you are so spoiled with great beers, in any other area of the world I would rate this brewery much higher.

Sought this place out on a recent business trip to SD, recommended by SamGamgee. After a couple of drives around the complex, I found it; but hey, that is half of the fun of seeking out these places. Nice industrial style tasting room, dog friendly with everything they have available for tasting. The Sushi food truck pulled up right after I arrived!, bit I was full from lunch at Stone. Knowledgeable staff, that from my understanding is mostly a family operation. Beer was good, at least the ones I tasted and friendly locals seemed to be hanging out.

They might not adhere to your typical SD hop bombed beers, but they have a great selection of Belgian inspired styles, which I thoroughly enjoy. If you want simple beers, this might not be the place for you, but if you are looking for complex flavor profiles, they don’t disappoint. The service is fast and friendly and they always have new beers to try. The price is great too, especially for the taster flight. Food trucks all the time in the parking lot. Overall, this is one of my favorite breweries in San Diego, and with the newly expanded tasting room there’s no excuse not to enjoy an afternoon here.

Tucked in the back corner of a business park. Nice space with a bar area right by the entrance and tables along the side. The people here are amazingly friendly, but their beers are just okay. They do a ton of different variations on Velvet Glove (imperial stout), which is kinda cool, I guess. Trying to rival Cigar City for most variations of a single beer, it would seem.

They’ve got a little tasting room set up with a gorgeous view on a hill. Too bad you can’t have a beer outside. The employees were helpful. There was a food truck for those who might be hungry. All in all, I would’ve liked my visit a lot more if the beer was better. What I had were Belgian styles that were subpar to most of their authentic counterparts. It’s not only Iron Fist that is guilty of being unable to handle Belgian styles, it seems most American breweries are.

Small bar to the left when you come in the front of the brewery, which is in a business park in Vista. They are doing some interesting beers which will hopefully only get better with time but have been pretty hit or miss so far, especially for the prices they charge for bottles.

Stopped by on a Friday evening after going to Stone. Pretty busy. to see them using local barrels that happen to be from the vineyard/winery that is right next to my parents house. Family helping out all over and were very friendly. 9 or 10 beers available in 4oz., 10 oz. and 16 oz. $5 flights with four 4oz. pours. Bombers for sale. Butcher paper covering one wall of the tasting room area with markers available to add your own art and comments to the existing stuff. Food truck right outside. Small, up and coming brewery feel and we had a good time.
