April 20, 2009 [ Updated April 22, 2009 ] I’ve never ate something here, so I leave the food field blank; and, the pub offers much more beers than the ones I indicated, but I don’t remember them all; would add some more if I’ll come back.
Anyway, the service is very poor. We had two Westmalle first: the waiter arrived and, after uncapping (and taking the cap without asking if we meant to have it), simply left; when we had two Duchesse de Bourgogne afterwards, the waiter arrived and left us the bottles uncapped without changing our glasses. When I called him back for the replacement, he said that they usually left the same glass because - I don’t claim to be an expert, but it sounds me a load of crap... - it’s right when passing from a beer to a more alcoholic one. I avoided to cross swords since Westmalle Tripel is 9.5% and Duchesse 6.2%, so I simply pointed out that his advice was not appropriate.
For the rest, the place is so noisy and I suggest going there after midnight. The only good thing are the fair prices. |
