58 Decent food and decent price but the value was better before the re-did the building and added the bar. Some decent brews on tap, Long Trail, Peak and Allagash for example so if you wanna have a decent dinner and decent beer its a good spot |
70 I’ve been going to Phil’s diner now for a few years for breakfast and the occasional other meal, mostly because of location and lack of other options. Recently, they added an upstairs with a more modern menu and, for this neck of the woods, a decent list of craft beers at fair prices. It was nice to have an alternative to Mew’s, especially with an outdoor patio and better prices.
We had some waitstaff problems on a busy night, but I can’t imagine that it’s a persistent issue. I happily slurped a couple cans of Gray Sail here for $4.50 a pop. They also offered a Mix a Six of craft brews in a bucket of ice for $25, which isn’t bad for a bar.
Certainly not a big tap list destination, but a good place to be able to enjoy a craft brew, a decent meal, and sit outdoors in a part of the state that is a little lacking in respectable craft brew serving establishments. |
