I’ve been going here since 2008 or so. I spent a lot of time at Cal Poly just up the street and for some reason didnt visit here until about the time I graduated.

This place is more or less what you’d find at Lone Hill or Jug & Jigger though in the old days they got in a bunch of stuff that wasn’t necessarily distributed here which was a nice touch for the locals. Over the years a bunch of other places have popped up to cash in on better beer which has taken it’s toll but these guys still have something good for everyone. I remember when Angel’s Share was first distributed (the 2009 flat batch) and it was top secret info that Joe was getting a couple cases. Same with Consecration 001. Joe is awesome and will dig up stuff in the back for you if you ask.

Another unsuspecting bottle shop in LA with a very respectable host of bottles in the fridge. Nice if you live in the area, but not a source of anything particularly rare.

Looks can be deceiving. From the outside the Walnut Liquorette looks just like a regular liquor store, but when you go in and see the beer selection, you will be floored. The selection rivals if not surpasses that of Bevmo and they are all hand selected by the owner. You get the standard beers you would usually find at any other liquor stores, but you will find some of the beers that are very tough to find. Craft and specialty beers are here and in great quantity. Prices range from the standard prices of regular beers to higher end pricing for beers like Lost Abbey which run about $18 for 12 oz. Most fall in the $6-9 range so it’s still quite affordable if you’re willing to pay for quality. If you like drinks, this is the place to go.

Whenever I am in the Inland Empire i try to make a stop at Joe’s Walnut Liquorette. The selection is as good as any I have seen in California, and Joe is just a great guy.

I have been to Lone Hill Liquor and was looking for a store of equal quality that’s a little bit closer (I go to school at Cal Poly Pomona). I found this place after a search on here and figured I’d give it a shot; I was not disappointed. Joe was very friendly and helpful, and we had a good chat. The selection was great, and this is my main concern. The prices were very reasonable (from what I could tell), especially when you consider some of the beers that are being offered. I’ll be making frequent trips here as I live only a few miles away.

Stopped in to check the place out while in town for business. The store itself is about the size of a 7-11, with coolers lining two of the four walls and 3/4 of the coolers stocked with microbrews. One of the coolers had a bunch of midwest and east coast beers not normally found in California, like Founders and Three Floyds. Otherwise most of the beer selection was focused on CA micros. They had the full range of normally available Alesmith and Stone beers, along with a few that were gone from most other stores like Stone/Nøgne Ø/Jolly Pumpkin Special Holiday Ale and Vertical Epic 08. Everything is kept refrigerated, so the Winter Yulesmith they still had was probably pretty good. I grabbed some Ballast Point Tongue Buckler and Dorado. They had a lot of Bruery beers as well including Levuds Batch #1. Joe was very helpful and introduced himself and even offered some special beers that weren’t on display. Overall, definitely worth seeking out if you’re anywhere in the LA area.

Stopped in here after going to the sister store (Lone Hill Liquor). Large parking lot, weird area. Store focus’s on local rarities more than Lone Hill does, but they do have some of the not distributed rarities that Lone Hill does in cooler 1. DFH 120 and World Wide, a bunch of Three Floyds. Bells Expedition and Hopslam. Good local stuff as well.

Great selection here and a very knowledgeable staff. They also have a bunch of cellared stuff hidden in the back. Picked up some Russian river, Lost abbey, and pizza port stuff here. Its really just your average liquor store, but with a full wall of coolers with a huge selection of beer. One of the largest beer selections I have come across.
