| Plank10 (10), Maryland | | January 26, 2011 Nice little brewpub. The food is average and typical but the beers were tasty. They had a homebrew contest winner tapped that was an IPA with spearmint. It was interesting but I couldn’t drink a full pint. I also had a nice porter, well spiced winter and mid level stout. Good knowledgeable service and a beer engine. | mesperon (7), Hillsdale, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | August 1, 2010 Awesome place. Great beer, great food, great atmosphere, gret music, and most of all, fantastic beer. The FNA imperial IPA and imperial stout were amazing, definitely worth seeking out. I had a steak sandwich, which is usually tough and chewy, but here the steak was beautifully tender, it melted in my mouth. I can’t reccomend this place enough. | | jmm635 (66), Havertown, Pennsylvania | | July 2, 2010 Average place is the best I can say. Food was good, however nothing wowed me. About 10 of their beers on tap. Again nothing special, but all decent. Good cask and nitro options. | | sailracer (19), Massachusetts | | June 26, 2010 OK place. The beers are good but not memorable. The food was good but not memorable. | | Cletus (211), Connecticut | | November 20, 2009 Swung by on my way back from New Hampshire. The place has a huge bar with a nice tap selection. Curretly, they have a Tripel, Saison, Belgian IPA, Scotch Ale, and several of their flagship brews on tap. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, typical pub feel to it. I didn’t have a chance to try the food, but will definitely be back. | | chriso (258), London, England | | November 5, 2009 [ Updated November 12, 2009 ] Pleasant, long-established downtown brewpub. Looks like it may have been converted from a shop. Island bar with seating areas either side. Efficient staff. Decent pub food (half price appetizers 4-6 weekdays). Beers were generally solid but unspectacular. Not helped by the fact that, with 8 beers on tap, not one was an IPA or a stout/porter. Also, unfortunately the cask stout had finished and the cask IPA, which was next up, had not yet been out on. I know they do a very wide range of beers so I was probably just unlucky with timing. | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | July 14, 2009 Solid brewpub, away from Boston and near a major highway. Attractive medium sized place, staff knowledge of the beers was passable. I would not call this a friendly place, but people were relaxed and staff was on top of it. In a word, good beer is the reason to be here. Nothing floored me, but it was a solid lineup between the stout, scotch, and IPA, and a totally different stout was on cask. It is also a short drive to two Gordon Liquor locations, another plus if you are just passing through, like us. Must stop if you are in the area. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | March 11, 2009 Arrived there at closing time, but they let us in for a pint, or, in this case, the sample, which was 7$ for 4 samples (I got an extra one for free). Place is quite nice, designed around the bar (which did look a bit grubby, but thats OK). The selection is interesting, with half regulars (4) and half seasonals (4). Havent tried the food, which was pub grub oriented. A nice place to go when in Waltham. | | jhumphries69 (33), Tyrone, Georgia | | June 18, 2008 Decent beer. Lots of specials - half of the taps were specials/seasonals, the other five were their regular beers. We just ordered appetizers and samplers of beer. The food we had was tasty. The best part about the place was that it was so kid friendly - they even have a play area and toys in the back, towards the restrooms. This was a nice compared to some other kid-unfriendly brewpubs I’ve been to. | | beastiefan2k (141), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas | | May 23, 2007 Good beer, lots of different things on taps, their hoppy stuff is good as well as their non-hoppy stuff. THe inside is roomy but loud (am I gettting to be an old man). I came in on a Saturday evening and it was pretty empty. I got one food item a hummus platter which was really tasty. Good beer, fair price, a bit loud, good food, service was fine. |
