A large warehouse style store with a great selection of beers. Staff is friendly and quite helpful. They have one of the better selections in Michigan at more than fair prices. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Such a wonderful store! Worth the trip no matter how far you live from it. The staff is helpful and friendly and they have a huge selection of liquor. What they don’t carry they will order for you just ask!! They are great. They take special care of you at this place.

Very helpful staff. Loads of Michigan micros, seasonals, etc. Good speection of Beer, wine, and hard liquor. Some tougher to find bottles from jolly Pumpkin. 3 long aisles of craft beer with a michigan focus. Regulars and seasonals from other bigger US micro’s. Staff was VERY helpful, even directing me to stores that had what was sold out at Champane’s. Close to Kuhnhenn and worth a visit.

The best prices in the area for everyday beers and special releases alike. It also doesn’t hurt that their tastings are a lot of fun and their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Best Prices in town. Does not raise the prices on limited run beers like other stores in the area. I can always find a good conversation about the best beers around or the next one coming out. The only place I go.

Located in the old Variety Nut and Date building. I shop here all the time. Good beer selection and great prices. A huge selection of Michigan beers. Also have a wide selection of wine and hard liquor. They do have a good selection of nuts and bulk candy for snacks...but its not a restaurant. If you are in the area, its worth a stop.

A warehouse feel to the place with too much"old" taxidermy. Everyone seems friendly enough, but I’ve never really needed or wanted help (especially now that I have the new RateBeer app). The prices are unbelievable though; $1 to $2 cheaper on most 6 packs and 22oz bottle. The prices alone make it worth the trip if your looking to stock up, load up on some bottles for the cellar or are anywhere near the area.

Great place right down the road from Kuhnhenn... but they have much better pricing. Great selection of beer, especiallly Michigan beer. There is also a good variety of wine. A Must stop when in the area.

This place is huge! They have a big selection with the best overall prices anywhere! Some of the people are so knowledgeable and helpful.

(Visited 08/2011): Champane’s is located on the north side of Warren on Chicago Rd. There is a large lot out front. The interior is large and open, and the beer selection is mainly in the rear of the store but there is a cooler full of singles at the front of the store. The main selection (several hundred) is in aisles and there is a solid array of craft brewers represented both from Michigan and from across the country. Founders, Shorts, North Peak, Arbor, Dark Horse etc along with Anchor, Great Lakes, Rogue and many more. Imports from Oud Beersel, Mikkeller and the like. Service at Champane’s is pretty good. Everyone was friendly and I was asked if I needed help finding anything. Overall this is a very good spot to hit in the Royal Oak/Warren area.
