| deyholla (90), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | May 17, 2012 A true tickers dream! A dungeony atmosphere. A mountain of taps behind the bar of all types of styles. They offer samplers. Value is good and staff is fine. A nice place to stop by especially for a few rates. | | finderman222 (10), , | | March 5, 2012 Loved it! Can’t wait to go back. | | KPD (64), Michigan | | January 22, 2012 Great selection, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Beer ok to good. Well worth a stop in, very good place to drink with several good choices. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | December 22, 2011 this place is a tickers dream come true, 30+ plus of their own drafts, all of which are basically any style you can think of, they do 5 6oz tasters, they come in a cool serving stand, you are given a card to fill out to list what you want... now the downside is that with so many different styles, there are tons of misses, most of the darker beers were not good at all, additionally service blows, they were out of several beers, anything nitro took an extra ten minutes per glass so there was tons of staggered deliveries to our table, and the servie was super super slow... worth a tick if you’re close | | mikem409 (40), bloomfield, Michigan | | October 13, 2011 i love love this brewery. it makes me think that its exactly what an old english/irish corner pub would be like. not much on the food front but the 30 plus beers make up for it | | paintedmaple (36), Fenton, Michigan | | July 4, 2011 I’ve been going here since the place opened several years ago when it was just a plain room that had awesome beers. As the decor improved the inverse happened in the beer quality. It’s still OK, but lack of innovation has really hurt this place. No reason to go here anymore when there are so many other great places so close. | | RudiNicole (77), Michigan | | April 25, 2011 [ Updated June 11, 2011 ] Tried out Dragonmead on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty empty besides the regulars who were sitting at the bar. We brought our own food, and they provided the table with pretzels and mustards. With 30+ beers on tap, it took us a while to choose our sampler. We had two 6 beer samplers and a pint each All of the beers were good, nothing that was extra special, but good beers in general. Took home a growler of the Castlebrite Apricot. If you are in the area, stop by for sure, but I wouldn’t drive more than an hour to try it out. | gess4221 (6), , Michigan does not count - explanation | | March 21, 2011 Big selection, sample tray is a cool option. Free pretzels to snack on. Purchased the cheese and crackers which included an entire brick of smoked cheddar that tasted great. Final Absolution is their best beer of what I’ve tried thus far. Fun place to have a beer with a few friends. | | zdk (79), New York, New York | | September 6, 2010 dark place with campy, faux-medieval look. Fantasy geeks shouldn’t be making beer, nor should they overdo a gimmick. Bad beer meets a medieval times fair. Service is good, but oh god the beer. Malts bombs and dirty tasting. With 40 tap lines, it seems like every beer they’ve ever made is still up. | | RoscoeJackson (19), Michigan | | August 29, 2010 [ Updated June 4, 2011 ] some of their beers can be a bit watery, and they don’t have any particular standouts. not much food offered, and service can be spotty. still, i’d recommend a visit for their deep selection not typically offered at most metro detroit micros. |
