Traditional German cooking with an emphasis, in the winter at least, on wild game. Schnitzel is made with veal, a very pleasant surprise. Three German beers on draft are top notch. Desserts are amazing. Mike is right about the himbeergeist, and they also have my favorite, Williams-birne.

I am a huge fan of this place. Outdoor has plenty of seating, however it is only really enjoyable in the spring and early fall. It ends up either being too cold or too hot to sit outside. I was happy with the selection of German beer, though it was not a huge selection. The beer they did have complimented the food quite nicely. Staff - and I believe possibly owners - were quite nice and were very attentive to our needs.

A very nice Berlin style café. Large outdoor beergarten and indoor café, small and cozy with a small bar. They have some rare German tap beers. They say they change beers but they had Spaten Optimator, Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier and Warsteiner Pils. They had a few more in bottles as well. The food was good but not very German but then again I live in Germany. I would go here for the German beer anytime. They are also hiding Himbergeist in the fridge.
