| 3fourths (962), Boulder, Colorado | | February 22, 2012 a rather unexciting and low-ceilinged bar, one of many in rows, aligned neatly in this Adams Morgan. Adams Morgan is not really the dung heap some people say, but this is an expensive and rather contemporary bar and there’s little special about it. Through a door out back you may access a stairwell to nowhere in a dark interior corner of the building and you may find yourself feeling the closeness of these confined spaces or you may urinate in said dark corner. the bathroom is down the stairwell next to the bar. | | Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | May 11, 2011 Smallish place with a surprisingly well chosen, though small, selection of beer. Will do all 12 tap beers as 4 ounce samplers. Nice bourbons also (duh). Worthwhile stop while in Adams Morgan. | | KUEric (106), Washington, Washington DC | | January 23, 2011 If out an about in Adams Morgan (my neighborhood) Bourbon is one of the better all-around bars.
It’s got good food, it’s got good beer, get busy but isn’t quite as Adams Morgan-y as many of the other bars around here.
| | gsmitty80 (153), Washington DC | | November 7, 2010 You wouldn’t think a bar called Bourbon would have good beers but they do. Although it is not the focus, the bar has about 10 taps with good craft beer that rotate frequently. They also have a bottle list of about 30 beers. The food is always good and it is one of the better bars in the Adams Morgan area, comparable to The Reef without the underwater vibe or roof deck. Great food too but it is pricey. |
