| Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | October 22, 2011 Yet one more wine shop with a decent beer selection. Mostly six packs, but a few bombers and 750s, plus a fridge in the back. Nothing really out of the ordinary, and not much local stuff. Worth a look if you’re passing by. | | craftycarl21 (59), Washington, Washington DC | | September 4, 2011 An easy 10 minute walk up Connecticut Ave. from the Van Ness metro in DC. Small place but quite a nice selection; I found and consequently bought a Parabola off the shelf, with all sorts of Bell’s and Founder’s six packs, New Belgium, etc. Prices on the Lips of Faith series, for example, were also 2-3 dollars less than many other places in the city for whatever reason. A good spot worth checking out if you’re in the area. | | GT2 (196), Washington DC | | July 25, 2011 [ Updated July 27, 2011 ] Highly recommended for finding some really oddball stuff without having to make the drive all the way to Perfect Pour. Beers from Cyprus, Colombia, El Salvador, Argentina, Croatia et al. if you are looking for new countries. There is a shelf of single bottles that are mostly Eastern European but also some nice stuff like Firestone Walker Parabola. The majority of the selection is six packs with about 400 different beers. Probably not the best place for super fresh IPAs or serious rarities, but lots of fun to browse and some weird country ticks for anyone interested and in the area. | | gsmitty80 (153), Washington DC | | September 15, 2010 This is a nice liqour store right in Cleveland Park. They had a pretty good selection of imported beers and had a few of them cold. Most of the imported beers were warm on a shelf. They had a pretty decent selection but i think they focus more on their wine then beer. Picked up a 6-pack of Yanjing, a 6-pack of Hacker-Pschorr Münchener Gold and a Kalnapilis. The gentleman behind the counter offered to help me and commented on the differences between the two flavors of Hacker-Pschorr I was choosing between. |
