Great spot just at the Dupont Circle. Had good service and the selection was better than average. Anoying though, like most elsewhere in USA, that itīs nearly impossible to find single 12 oz-bottles. Whats the deal?

Good selection, though crammed into a small space with less than enthusiastic staff. Great location by the metro.

Located just off the busy Dupont Circle, this rather small store is, well, a labyrinth of shelves, rather randomly filled with beer, wine and spirits. The selection is OK, for an American store, but it is rather limited to chiefly mainstream US beers and quite a lot of Belgian trappist ales. The staff appear busy and seemingly unimpressed by the presence of potential customers looming in every corner of their labyrinthic realm. I left without buying anything, just didnít want to have yet another sixpack cram my hotel room.

Not a huge selection but certainly some great stuff including a new firestone walker on my visit. Understand prices are a little high but certainly didnít feel cheated for the quality of beers.

While visiting DC, I went to this place expecting to find Heady Topper as it is listed as a store on the distribution list. No such luck at all. I was told that they only get it on a rare occasion and that it sells out almost immediately. Not surprising but it was still pretty disappointing. As a Southerner, this was as close as I have gotten to any of the location on HTís distribution map. Oh well, I did find a nice bourbon barrel stout to ease the pain.

Well this place is smaller than I anticipated. Thereís perhaps only 100 bottles available. Just a couple of shelves and a few coolers in whatís mostly a wine shop. Nonetheless, the selection was pretty impressive. Whoever does the beer buying here is clearly knowledgeable. Thereís no filler. Limited bottles from the likes of Evil Twin, BFM, and Stillwater were available. 4 different offerings from Surly were certainly surprising to see. The prices are a bit punchy, but not insane. Thereís also a solid bourbon selection too. Overall, definitely worth a stop if youíre in DC. Iíll definitely be making return visits here in the future.

ya know, i wasnt that impressed with this place. I know they get some rare stuff here like heady topper and Surly stuff however, its very small and crowded. Service is pretty strict and prices are out of this world. Surly cans for $7 a piece? i know its hard to get there but dont need that much price gouging!

This place was a few steps from our hotel, so we just had to visit and while we managed to find a good few bottles to buy, especially rarer Stillwater in our case, we left a bit depressed for our DC friends who have to live with such a place being one of the best in the city. Sure, they have a few dozen very good offerings, but in a free market like the capital of the US, how can no store be offering a selection ten times as big. Whole Foods just a few blocks away seemed to have more, but not all that repetitive a selection, fairly complementary actually, especially for the imports like Mikkeller. Still, for our casual visitor purposes, Connecticut did the job, but we visited many more in the hope of finding better, a contest in which there were no clear winners. There certainly were no Russian River when we visited. Staff was helpful here though.

Small beer section but really good options within. Freshness of some of the beers seemed to be an issue.

Nice bottle shop with good selection of wines and beers. They have good stuff including Russian River and 3 Floyds. Small but high-quality selection
