Right next to the hotel, so of course I needed the place tick. Very much whole foods like until you get the the beer selection. That is kind of a bummer. They do have a fairly extensive build your own six pack shelf, which could be handy if you need some DC ticks, but beyond that it was pretty uninspired. Essentially no large format bottles (other than perhaps six choices in the one fridge Travlr found), very little that is outside of the norm. Meh.

An exceptionally nice supermarket that has a good selection of beers. Loads of cold beer, including a good number of regionals. Mixed 6-packs available too ($10). A few bombers can be found in the cold wine case.

A carbon copy of other HTs in the area, but with a much larger beer selection. GTís description is pretty accurate, except I did find a fridge with a small number of bombers and a few 750s.

This is online as their Constitution Square store, but that is mostly worthless since this is one block from the NoMa Metrorail station on the red line. Brand new store in the newer, chic, high end apartment area of the revitalized, industrial downtown. Spacious grocery store and was previously a food desert. Beer selection is above average with Devilís Backbone six packs, Dogfish Head, Starr Hill, Flying Dog. Pretty large beer selection overall but only six packs and mostly a place to stock up for parties or for session beers. Not a hidden gem by any means, but this certainly has a decent craft beer selection. I would seek this out, but if you are in area and looking for well priced non macro stuff, could be your only option.
