Anothe wine store with a beer selection. They fo have a small selection of UK brews and two French ciders I haven’t seen before. Unremarkable beyond that, and only worth trying if you’re already in the area, or taking a shortcut from Virginia to the district, that’s a scenic and uncriwded route.

I visited this place on a whim today. They have a very strange selection at this store and that is a good thing for the most part. The good finds here are all of the Scottish and English beers that almost no other places have. Additionally, these beers are available for a lower price than other places. Furthermore, they do markdowns and that is always a good thing. Of course, they are honest that the beers are old. The service is very good and they are very attentive. Whenever I buy English ales, I always interrogate the people about when they were purchased. The one dude is pretty knowledgeable about his beer and especially about the inventory. If you want to try something, they can open it in the store for you as well. I would say that it is worth a visit. They also have a small, small selection of American micros, but at generally good price; the same goes for Belgian ales.

A wine place my dad has been going to for years, they have a few highlights, mostly brew dog beers and some other things like Southern Tier, but not much of a selection, much better than your average joint though.

Another store that primarily features wine, the beer selection is modest, but there are deals to be found. Some small bottles of english old ale/winter warmer from 2000 and 2001 were marked down to $1.99. Aventinus, Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen ($7) and Cantillon Kriek ($12) were marked down, but the real find was Olfabrikken Porter and Nogne-O Imperial Stout, Porter and Winter ale all for $3.49 on markdown. I guess they wanted to get rid of them.
