A large 3 story bar on the burgeoning H St. strip. Very spacious, clean interior. Bartenders are quick and waitstaff is good. Selection is decent - most of the draft list is fixed but they occasionally get some interesting stuff on their rotating drafts (JP Luciernaga the other day). Good bottle selection, but nothing rare. The food is the main draw, which ranges from pub fare to full entrees. Prices are reasonable but on the higher side for H St. (though, the beer selection is the best on H st.). Worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood.

I made it to Smith Commons in a bar crawl night on H Street. The place has multiple floors and I think we went up to the top or the floor just below that. Sat outside on a relatively warm mid-Fall day. Bottle and draft selection is pretty good (especially for the area) and the appetizers we munched on were great. Only downside was there was something like one unisex stall bathroom on the floor we were on, so the wait can be *long.*
