A massively jammed packed, overcrowded Whole Foods that has a pretty piss poor showing for craft beer. When it first opened, they got in a few special release Stone beers. And that was the pinnacle. Now, the store has only about 50-60 different beers and almost all six-packs of Victory, Dogfish Head, Brooklyn. Really nothing you can’t find at just about any beer store in the district. Area dedicated to beer is one refrigerated shelf for six packs and then one extremely small cupboard hidden to the left of the fridge that has a very mediocre selection of mostly severely overpriced Belgian large format bottles. Maybe La Chouffe, Dupont, Chimay. Nothing exciting. Not worth going to for beer in any way shape or form. Service? If you ask anyone at this store anything beer related their head might detonate spontaneously. Food? Actually pretty good if you get the buffet or even pizza. Food is much better than the beer selection.

Worst selection for a Whole Foods store I have ever seen. One small shelf and nothing cold. A few 22 bottles but nothing you cant find in any other ’specialty store’. Take the trip a couple more blocks to Chevy Chase wine and liquor.

A smallish store with a cramped feel, more so than most Whole Foods. The beer selection is small but thoughtful, and the prices are reasonable, particularly considering it is located in the District.
