Love it. Great selection. Always poured in the proper glass. Good mix of local and imported. Great taps, amazing bottle stock. A bit of a whole in the wall and a little pricey.

Pretty crummy looking place, with an incredible selection of beer. We were the only people there that weren’t regulars and/or University students. Bartender was pretty unfriendly at first, but warmed up a bit by the end. Had a few beers on tap you wouldn’t expect in a sportsbar, like Delirium Tremens. Had some good onion rings, though not enough other food to fairly rate it. Despite the ambiance, I might go again, as it’s the only place with a good variety of craft beers and imports in town.

Best spot in K-W to get real beer at reasonable prices. Draught line-up is changed quite often so if nothing is to your taste you can come back again for something better. Bottle selection is also impressive. Food is not bad (onion rings are quite amazing actually) but beer is the main attraction is here. Both barkeeps are extremely friendly and like to keep their regulars happy and newcomers comfortable.

Great oasis in the midst of the student restaurants and universities. Surprisingly great selection for a sports bar. Not an atypical beer bar but the next best thing in Kitchener-Waterloo

This relatively unknown gem in an unsuspecting area for craft beer is the answer to all my beer woes. Much more convenient than the Golden Kiwi (granted the Kiwi is a worthwhile venture down to Galt), with a selection that rivals the now defunct Castle on King. It does have a bit of a sports bar feel to it, but it’s classier than the average one, with a projection screen on the wall to watch whatever game they’re showing. A nice selection of impressive bottles line the back wall behind the bar, mostly single malt scotch, but some beer too. Tap selection is just awesome, all sorts of OCB stuff as well as some nice imports, mainly from Germany, but De Koningshoeven is a staple, both the Triple and the Quad, though more frequently the Quad, and apparently it actually is a fast seller. Food is your standard pub fare, nothing spectacular but nothing too bad. There’s a fridge that holds anywhere from 50-70 different bottles. All in all an awesome spot.
