| Stoutgirl86 (11), Kitchener, Ontario | | March 31, 2012 Its a great LCBO. It’s Canada so you pay through the nose; but some good selection from Southern Tier which is pricey no matter where you look. | | kevinsenn (31), Waterloo, Ontario | | March 24, 2011 [ Updated April 10, 2012 ] Great selection, as far as the LCBO goes. Outside of Toronto, this is the best store I’ve seen. | | Zenwolf (52), Waterloo, Ontario | | August 17, 2010 Best LCBO in town. The buyer here does a great job of bringing in LCBO’s newest and best beers. Alway a new treat every week. That being said the LCBO is still too much of a monopoly. Too bad I have to go to Quebec or the states to find my favorite beers. | | matt7215 (47), Cambridge, Ontario | | May 4, 2009 huge LCBO with a good selection. the staff always seem agitated because this store is always busy. tthey dont rotate their stock or refridgerate the beer that needs it. i usually only buy belgians from this store because all the OCB stuff sits on a warm shelf. could be a great LCBO if they cared about beer. | | PaulHegedus (26), Ontario | | October 12, 2008 The LCBO is a standardized organization. This location is medium in size and tends to emphasize higher quality beers over macros and mass market pilsner styles. As far as LCBO locations go, this one is far above average. They often have in stock: Brooklyn, Unibroue, Chimay, Schneider Aventinus, Anchor Liberty, some other excellent beers. Most beer stores outside of Ontario would be criticized for having a very poor selection with a list like this, but as far as Ontario is concerned, this site is not bad. | | JesseM (31), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario | | August 9, 2008 [ Updated January 28, 2012 ] Though I live no where near this store, I do frequent it a lot (well actually for the last year of my life I lived up the street in residence at WLU). Staff are generally pretty lacking in knowledge of beer products, but they’re still extremely helpful when you want something from the back, even if they firmly believe that the product doesn’t exist. The lay out of the store is very good for an LCBO, with almost the entire back section of the store devoted to beer, including an entire isle specifically for Ontario craft beers. The best store in the area for selection, though sometimes it takes forever for them to get something in while other smaller stores already have it. As a usual customer most of the cashiers know me and are quite friendly (I like to line up behind the homeless guys). It’s in a very trendy part of town right now, which I guess for some people might aesthetically add to the experience. Over-all one of the few places that keeps me from completely hating the LCBO. | | jimmay (22), Waterloo, Ontario | | August 8, 2008 [ Updated December 12, 2008 ] Best LCBO in town. Separate sections for Ontario craft beers, Euro imports, US imports, and always have stock of the seasonal offerings from the LCBO. Definitely broadest offering around. |
