Our first time at the Hommelhof must have been somewhen in the Nineties, and since then each time we are there it seems to us the food is even more delicious, imaginative and to the point than before. Perhaps the beer selection could benefit from being refreshed by some of the newer Belgian developments. But already with the "old" Watou beers the Hommelhof is near to perfection.

This was the best beer food pairing experience we had in Belgium . Food was good earthy Belgian food...not ourtre gourmet or edgy and absolutely delicious. Beer selection was extensive enough for their menu and many of the menu items had been prepared with beer in creative and delicious ways.

Does most of the beers from the two Watou breweries and good, but pricey, food. Another one to add to your crawl around Watou square on a sunny Sunday afternoon, when the whole village and half of Poperinge turn up.

Magnificent gastronomic food. Their house beer Cuvée ’t Hommelhof brewed at Brouwerij Van Eecke is also nice.

This place has been full every time I’ve visited, and with good reason. Wonderful food, lots of cooking with beer and hops. Good beer selection, including a house brew. Worth going far out of your way to find.

Was here a first time end of the eighties. Again on 30.10.2010. Very good notice for give a restaurant-vieuw from T De Roeck. We chose the brewersmeal with the beers Very nice ! The food is excellent. A good price/quality rate. This is really Top !

Stefaan was one of the first Belgian chefs to cook consequently with Belgian beers. Inside is the perfect combination of the cosiness of grandmothers living room and the classiness of a restaurant, wich makes you feel at home. The restaurant has a wide selection of beers, though not enormous still enough to please every beer lover. The food is excellent. Wheter you come to eat a steak or a 4 course meal, everything is prepared with most care and respect for the ingredients. A good price/quality rate.
