| watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | January 1, 2012 Great staff and selection at the beeryard. Lots of goodies in stock whether craft or import is your preference. And they get the limited and rare stuff that comes into the market. if they dont have it and they can get it for you, they are more than happy to. The owner Matt is a great guy...knowledgeable and generous. Prices are a bit high (main line pricing) but fair enough given the awesome selection. | | rouxsean (10), , | | November 18, 2011 Great people! | | pushkinwow (54), Ottawa, Ontario | | September 11, 2010 Stopped in here after Teresa’s just because we it was on the way and wow were we glad. You can only by cases but they have some pretty impressive stuff, even considering we are used to shoddy selection from Canada and PA has some great beer. Able to get LA, RR and AS just sitting there, went into the back room with Matt and got some Fluxus 2010 and KBS. Overall great service, great selection and will be visiting again. | | regspeir (17), Havertown, Pennsylvania | | June 16, 2010 I have been here several times but after today’s visit, I finally feel able to offer an opinion. As much as I love the people who wait on me there (and nope, they do NOT know my name or seem to care), I am not a fan (yet?). The prices are HIGH. No bargains here that I could see. And finding things - whew. That plus no posted prices and the people who wait on you BETTER be nice ’cause you have to ask them 5,000 questions and always feel like a pain-in-the-#$%@. I will go back if I hear anything changes, but until then there are better prices and easier-to-deal-with places nearby. | | jkwood04 (29), Connecticut | | June 11, 2010 Good beer store except there are terrible laws in certain unnamed states that prevent you from buying singles. Only being able to sell cases hurts this store’s selection I’m sure. But, they still had Russian River Consecration, Bells Expedition Stout, the Lost Abbey Angels Share, and Founders Breakfast Stout, so the selection is pretty amazing | | italianjohn (127), Penndel, Pennsylvania | | April 19, 2010 Love their website, but wish it was updated more often (stuff they are out of taken off the site). They will gladly take your call and tell you if they have that beer in and will hold it for you. The prices are a bit high, but given the area its in it figures. The staff knows their beer and although the place is a bit cluttered, they know where all of the beer is located. Definitely a place to stop by if your in the area. | | j12601 (214), Poughkeepsie, New York | | April 5, 2010 Stopped in here since it was almost on the way to Capone’s and seemed it had a fairly high score, but I didn’t have time to read any of the reviews. This place had quite a nice selection including a number of Cantillons and other nice Belgians and other things, but yet again only cases. I’m honestly amazed and impressed that places like this will actually bring in some of the rarer and more expensive things like cases of varying Cantillons that are in the $20 a bottle range since that’s a sizeable investment for someone to buy an entire case of, especially if they’ve never had it before. Yet again I had to leave another PA beer store empty handed and disappointed because the PA laws make it that I can’t buy singles. | | AguynamedTodd (75), Illinois | | April 18, 2009 [ Updated October 22, 2011 ] It’s really easy to find. Just look for the Starbucks and it’s right behind it. They have a great selection of beers. The aisles are narrow but if you’re aware of it you shouldn’t have a problem. Service is excellent and they’re very knowledgeable about their beers. Their website helped me find the beers I was looking for. Only thing I didn’t like is that they wouldn’t mix cases. I’d definitely go back, though | | Jsawyer (21), Glenside, Pennsylvania | | January 14, 2009 Not that difficult to find if you take the directions off their website, after all it is just behind the starbucks like they said. Great selection but a little pricey since its on the Main Line. They do split up cases and make variety packs which is really nice. The only down side to the place are the tight aisles. They do have cigars as well. Good service, never a problem. And I have to say the website is also extremely helpful, you always know whats in. | | willblake (81), Bel Air, Maryland | | December 7, 2008 20080613 My third trip to this store and it never fails to impress. Excellent service and prices. The selection is enormous and the only disadvantage is that, since it is in PA you have to buy by the case. Locals and Belgians abound here, though the representation of other beers is good. They also break cases into samplers so you could get, for instance, a 12 pack of Port Brewing bombers with four varieties of beer. Excellent place to hook up for case splits. I get their emails and see that they do tastings, which is awesome although I have never attended. Parking is limited in their lot, but it has not been a problem to date. |
